    Abstract: Provided is a current detection device that enables to eliminate the influence of vibration that is applied to a bus bar, which is configured as a shunt resistor and measures current with high accuracy and high reliability. The current detection device is provided with a first wiring member and a second wiring member consisting of a conductive metal material, and a resistor body consisting of a metal material having a lower temperature coefficient of resistance than those wiring members and is joined between the first wiring member and the second wiring member, wherein a connection portion for making a connection to another wiring member or device is formed at an end of the first wiring member and second wiring member, the end being an opposite side from a joint with the resistor body, and a fixing member is provided between the connection portion and the joint with the resistor body.

    Abstract: To provide a chip resistor in which a resistive element can be surely protected from an external environment and which is also excellent in corrosion resistance, a chip resistor 1 is configured to include an insulating substrate 2, a pair of front electrode 3 provided on opposite end portions of a front surface of the insulating substrate 2, a pair of back electrodes 7 provided on opposite end portions of a back surface of the insulating substrate 2, a resistive element 4 provided to extend onto the two front electrodes 3, a first insulating layer 5 covering the resistive element 4, a second insulating layer 6 made of a resin material to cover the first insulating layer 5, end surface electrodes 8 establishing electrical continuity between the front electrodes 3 and the back electrodes 7, plating layers 9 covering the end surface electrodes 8, etc. Rough surface portions 6a made rougher in surface roughness than any other portion of the second insulating layer 6 are formed at opposite end portions of the second insulating layer 6. End portions of the end surface electrodes 8 and the plating layers 9 are brought into tight contact with the rough surface portions 6a respectively.

    Abstract: The invention is to provide a chip resistor suitable for lowering an initial resistance value. A chip resistor 1 according to the present invention is provided with: an insulating substrate 2; a pair of front electrodes 3 which are provided on a front surface of the insulating substrate 2 so as to face each other with a predetermined interval therebetween; a resistive element 4 which is provided so as to bridge the front electrodes 3; a pair of auxiliary electrodes 5 which are provided so as to cover the front electrodes 3 and overlap end portions of the resistive element 4; and the like. The chip resistor 1 is configured such that: the front electrodes 3 are formed of a material which contains 1 to 5 wt % Pd and the balance Ag; and the auxiliary electrodes 5 are formed of a material which contains 15 to 30 wt % Pd and a metal material (e.g. Au) lower in resistivity than Pd and the balance Ag.

    Abstract: A chip type fuse excellent in resistance to climate conditions, where the fuse is able to operate stably under high temperature and high humidity environments. The fuse includes an insulative substrate; an under-glass layer formed on the insulative substrate; a fuse element formed on the under-glass layer; a pair of electrodes formed at both end sides of the fuse element; and an over-glass layer covering at least a fusing section of the fuse element; wherein the fuse element includes a layer where a first metal layer and a second metal layer are piled up, and a barrier layer consisting of a third metal layer, which covers the first metal layer and the second metal layer with a width that is wider than the width of the first metal layer and the second metal layer. The third metal layer overwraps the second metal layer and the first metal layer.

    Abstract: To provide a shunt resistor and a current detection device including the shunt resistor, to which a busbar, a board, and the like can be easily fixed with sufficient strength wherein only minimum processing of electrodes is required. Screwing members (bolt (14) and nut (15)) that are separate members from electrodes (12) of the resistor (10), are fixed on the electrodes (12). The current detection device includes the shunt resistor (10), which has at least a pair of electrodes (12). One screwing member (14) fixed beforehand on at least one electrode (12) is screw fastened with the other screwing member (15) while disposing a prescribed intervening member (20) between the one screwing member and the other screwing member. Here, the prescribed intervening member (20) includes a board mounting a current detection circuit thereon and/or busbars.

    Abstract: The low resistance value resistor 11 has two electrodes 12,13 of metal strips having a high electrical conductivity. The metal strips are affixed on the resistor body by means of rolling and/or thermal diffusion bonding. A fused solder layer is formed on a surface of each electrode comprised by the metal strip. Thus, sufficient bonding strength and superior current distribution in the resistor body is obtained. Further, a portion of the resistor body is trimmed by removing a portion of the body material along a direction of current flow between the electrodes to adjust a resistance value. Thus, a precise resistor value and superior characteristics of temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) can be obtained.
