摘要: A laser source irradiates a tumor site, permeated with photosensitizer, using pulse laser for PAI. The photosensitizer absorbs the pulse laser for PAI to generate ultrasonic waves. An ultrasonic wave detection device detects the ultrasonic waves to output an ultrasonic signal. A processor device performs various processes to the ultrasonic signal to generate image data. Based on the image data, a photosensitizer concentration calculator calculates concentration distribution of the photosensitizer at a specific depth in the tumor site. Based the obtained concentration distribution, an irradiation condition of CW laser for photodynamic therapy (PDT) is set or changed. Based on the irradiation condition, the CW laser for PDT is irradiated to the tumor site.

摘要: A capsule endoscope for endoscopic imaging is swallowable in a body, for image pickup of an object. In a capsule endoscopic system, a receiver receives image data in a form of a radio signal from the capsule endoscope, and for storing the image data. A computer as image processor produces an object image according to the image data from the receiver. A spectral image generator produces data of a spectral image having a wavelength band by arithmetic operation according to the image data. To this end, the spectral image generator arithmetically operates with a coefficient matrix to form the spectral image. Furthermore, capsule type information, assigned to the capsule endoscope discretely, is retrieved. The capsule type information is stored in a data storage medium, and read by the spectral image generator to determine the coefficient matrix.

摘要: Low coherence light having a central wavelength λc of 1.1 μm and a full width at half maximum spectrum Δλ of 90 nm is emitted. The low coherence light has wavelength properties suited for the light absorbing properties, the diffusion properties, and the dispersion properties of living tissue. A light dividing means divides the low coherence light into a measuring light beam, which is irradiated onto a measurement target via an optical probe, and a reference light beam that propagates toward an optical path length adjusting means. A multiplexing means multiplexes a reflected light beam, which is the measuring light beam reflected at a predetermined depth of the measurement target, and the reference light beam, to form coherent light. A coherent light detecting means detects the optical intensity of the multiplexed coherent light. An image obtaining means performs image processes, and displays an optical tomographic image on a display apparatus.

摘要: An inkjet recording head includes nozzles arrayed in one direction and ink droplet ejecting devices formed in the respective nozzles. Each nozzle has a height difference in a depthwise direction on a side on which ink droplets are ejected and an ink liquid surface is formed between both edges forming the height difference. An inkjet printer uses this inkjet recording head. The inkjet recording head can eject ink obliquely to the ejection surface for correcting recording pitches at joining portions and preventing the periphery of the nozzles from being contaminated by the ink splashed back from image receiving paper. The ejection angle and the ejecting direction can also be suitably selected and adjusted.

摘要: According to a method of and apparatus for displaying as an autofluorescent-light image emitted from a target subject upon the irradiation thereof by a excitation light, even for cases in which a malfunction of the apparatus occurs that prevents an operator from obtaining a desired image, a standard-image is displayed so as to enable an operator to safely and expediently remove the insertion portion of the endoscope from the body of a patient, whereby the safety of the patient can be ensured. When an irregularity in the temperature of one of the light sources, the operation of one of the drive apparatus, or other cause of an operational irregularity occurring in of one of the light sources is detected by the semiconductor-laser temperature detecting means, the reference-light source temperature detecting means, or the emission-output detecting means, in response to a detection signal thereof, the standard-image display mode is switched to automatically.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for detecting fluorescence to distinguish between a sub mucosa and a mucosa immediately and easily. The sub mucosa of organic tissue is distinguished from and the mucosa thereof based on autofluorescence emitted from the organic tissue in response to stimulating light projected thereon. The distinction between the sub mucosa and the mucosa is made based on normalized intensity of the autofluorescence emitted from the organic tissue utilizing the fact that the spectrum of autofluorescence emitted from the sub mucosa is different from the spectrum of autofluorescence emitted from the mucosa.

摘要: A fluorescent-light image display apparatus for displaying on a monitor a fluorescent-light image emitted from a target area irradiated by a excitation light. A photo-detector inputs the output value of the excitation light into an irregularity controller, which determines whether or not the output of the excitation light is smaller than a set value. If the output of the excitation light is determined to be larger than the set value, an irregularity detection signal is output to the main controller. The main controller stops the flow of drive-current to and the emission of excitation light from the GaN semiconductor laser, and displays a message on the monitor that an irregularity has occurred in the output of the excitation light when the output of the excitation light is larger than a predetermined value, the emission of the excitation light is stopped and the patient is not irradiated by excitation light having an energy density above a predetermined value.
