    Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing solar loading of an electronic image assembly are provided. A cover panel forms a portion of a housing, is spaced apart from an electronic display, and permits viewing of images displayed at the electronic display. An airflow pathway extends between the electronic display and the cover panel and behind the electronic display. An air circulation device moves air through the airflow pathway. A second air circulation device moves airflow through a second airflow pathway within the housing which forms a closed loop around the electronic display. At least one solar energy reduction layer is located at an interior of the cover panel.

    Abstract: A method for cooling a display assembly includes forcibly circulating gas about an airflow pathway extending within a housing and surrounding an image assembly. Forcibly ingesting ambient air into the housing through an intake, passing the ingested ambient air within the housing in a manner which provides thermal interaction with the circulating gas in said airflow pathway, and exhausting the ingested ambient air from the housing through an exhaust to cool the circulating gas.

    Abstract: Systems for forced air cooling of display assemblies are provided. An electronic display subassembly is located behind a cover and includes an interior channel. An open loop centrifugal fan is positioned at an intake or an exhaust and forces ambient air through an open loop pathway when activated. A closed loop airflow pathway encircles the electronic display subassembly. A closed loop centrifugal fan is positioned at a side channel and forces circulating gas through the closed loop airflow pathway. Electronic components for operating the display assembly are provided with the rear compartment.

    Abstract: Assemblies for enhancing the optical quality of electronic images displayed at an electronic display layer are provided. At least one optical sheet is located adjacent to the electronic display layer within a housing. A number of tensioning subassemblies exert tensioning forces on the optical sheet. A first component of each tensioning subassembly is attached to a location along a perimeter of each optical sheet and a second component is connected to the first component and the housing.
