The present invention relates to compounds and methods from the treatment of cancer. The invention provides compounds that inhibit Aurora kinase, pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds that inhibit Aurora kinase, and methods for the treatment of cancer using the compounds of the presentation invention or pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of the present invention.
Abstract:
Improved podcasts and techniques that facilitate their use are disclosed. The improved techniques can pertain to creating, publishing, hosting, accessing, subscribing, managing, transferring, and/or playing podcasts. According to one aspect, a client application can subscribe to podcasts and then automatically monitor the podcasts for updates to be downloaded. In the event that user interest in a podcast becomes inadequate, downloading of further updates can be restricted. According to another aspect, a podcast can be subscribed to through use of a portable subscription file. According to still another aspect, podcast feeds can be enhanced to include segment elements and other metadata.
Abstract:
A hunting broadhead for an arrow has a main body fabricated from high-strength steel, and three laminar carbon steel blades which install within the main body. The main body has a manually sharpenable trocar chisel point tip with three razor-sharp apices. The main body is equipped with three slots, each of which is continuous with one of the three apices of the trocar tip and includes a forward-facing recess at the front end of each slot. A laminar carbon steel blade is inserted into each slot and locked in place by a tab on the front of the blade, which fits into the forward-facing recess, and a notch which engages an annular retainer ring that slips over a rear portion of the main body. Each blade forms an extension of its associated apex, with each apex and its associated blade forming a generally straight line.

A calculating apparatus, or system, having a plurality of stages, such as in a pipeline arrangement, has the clocking rail or conductor positioned alongside the stages. With a large number, i.e., hundreds, of stages arranged in parallel sub-arrays, the clocking conductor is snaked alongside the sub-arrays. In individual stages it is arranged that the shortest of the two calculations taking place in a stage, takes place in the return path. An array can be divided into separate sections for independent processing.

A method and apparatus of selectively protecting data content, the method having the steps of: selecting content that is to be encrypted; applying an encryption algorithm to content selected in selecting step to create encrypted content; maintaining content not selected in the selecting step in its original format, thereby having unencrypted content; and combining the encrypted content and unencrypted content into a predefined file format for a commercial player.
Abstract:
A data processor and a method for processing data is disclosed. The processor has an input port for receiving packets of data to be processed. A master controller acts to analyse the packets and to provide a header including a list of processes to perform on the packet of data and an ordering thereof. The master controller is programmed with process related data relating to the overall processing function of the processor. The header is appended to the packet of data. The packet with the appended header information is stored within a buffer. A buffer controller acts to determine for each packet stored within the buffer based on the header within the packet a next processor to process the packet. The controller then provides the packet to the determined processor for processing. The processed packet is returned with some indication that the processing is done. For example, the process may be deleted from the list of processes. The buffer controller repeatedly makes a determination of a next process until there is no next process for a packet at which time it is provided to an output port.

A system and method for secure distribution and retrieval of valuable content on a standard-format, non-volatile digital storage media using encryption where authorization to access the content is managed through an enabling hardware device interacting with a centralized authentication and billing system linked by a secure communications path. The playing of the content in non-encrypted form requires the use of a device incorporating a standard media player and an interface to connect the enabling hardware device to the playing device.

A mass spectrometer comprises an ion source which produces an ion beam from a substance to be analysed and a detector to detect a quantity of ions incident thereon. The detector includes two elements (16, 18) each of which detect a part of the quantity of ions and an attenuation device attenuates the quantity of ions reaching one of the detector elements. At least one of the detector elements (16, 18) is connected to a time to digital converter (TDC) to allow counting of the ions and at least one of the detector elements is connected in parallel to both a time to digital converter (TDC) and an analogue to digital converter (ADC).

There is disclosed herein a solution for removing a sulphur compound or carbon dioxide from a fluid and methods for its use, said solution comprising sulphuric acid, a metal at between about 0.05 to 10 percent by weight, an amine at between about 10 to 80 percent by volume and water. In one aspect, the sulphuric acid is in the form of a chelating agent and in another it is in the form of a derivative of a sulphur-based acidic compound. The sulphur compound may be hydrogen sulphide, carbonyl sulphide or a mercaptan. In one aspect, the method is practiced at temperatures significantly below zero. In another aspect, this invention is an acid/amine solution comprising sulphuric acid, sulphuric acid in the form of a chelating agent, or a.-derivative of a sulphur-based acidic compound and monoethanolamine. This solution may be used as a source of monoethanolamine.

A method of making the high resolution elastomeric exterior laminate material includes providing an ink graphic fabric layer, providing an exterior polymeric film onto a first side of the an ink graphic fabric layer by one of a laminating, a molding, a rolling and an extrusion process to form a laminate.
