A photographing apparatus and a still image photographing method thereof are provided where the photographing apparatus includes a lens for forming an optical image of a subject in an image pickup unit; an image pickup unit for photoelectrically converting the optical image formed through the lens to an electrical image signal, a signal processing unit for processing the photo-electrically converted image signal to a luminance signal and a color signal, a compression unit for compressing the processed image signal, and a storage unit for storing the compressed image signal, the image pickup unit comprising two vertical transmission registers for accumulating an image of an even filed and an image of an odd field in a memo. Accordingly, a clear still image can be obtained without an iris diaphragm.

Disclosed a transmission apparatus in a CDMA mobile communication system. Transmission frames each have a plurality of time slots, and each of the time slots includes two data parts having the same length, a midamble intervening between the data parts, and a guard period for dividing the consecutive time slots. The transmission apparatus modulates the frames into a radio signal with a modulation signal and transmits the modulated radio signal using a plurality of antennas. A power amplifier amplifies the radio signal. A controller generates a switching control signal in a guard period of time slots of a frame associated with the radio signal amplified by the power amplifier. A switch switches the amplified radio signal from the power amplifier between a first and a second antenna in response to the switching control signal.

A washing machine having a plurality of washing units to separately wash laundry according to quantity and type of the laundry, and a method to control the same. In the washing machine having the plurality of washing units to separately wash laundry having different quantities and types, when the plurality of washing units are being simultaneously operated, a current load value of one of the washing units is detected through monitoring of a power line, to thereby determine the operation state of the washing unit. Therefore, the operation of the other washing unit may be controlled so that the power limit is not exceeded. As a result, the plurality of washing units may be operated simultaneously within the range of allowable power capacity of the installation place of the washing machine.

An electrode paste for a solar cell, a solar cell electrode using the paste, a solar cell having such an electrode, and a fabrication method of the solar cell are described. The paste for a solar cell electrode comprises a first component that includes silver (Ag) or a metal alloy containing the silver (Ag); a second component that includes zinc (Zn), and at least one selected from a group consisting of silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), bismuth (Bi), phosphorous (P), boron (B), barium (Ba), and palladium (Pd); a leaded or lead-free glass frit; and a resin binder that is dispersed in an organic medium.

In accordance with some embodiments of the inventions, a display system is disclosed for manipulation of images on tiled displays. The display system can include at least one discrete display device and a control module configured to allow a user to move a graphical representation of an image to a plurality of positions on the at least one discrete display device to thereby define a requested position. The control module can be configured to determine a difference between the requested position and a plurality of predetermined positions on the at least one discrete display device. The control module can also be configured to move and/or stretch the image toward one of the predetermined positions based on the determination of the determined difference.

A wire harness for a door is spanned between a door inner panel of a motor vehicle and a vehicle body and is arranged near an indoor side over a weather strip. An outer protective assembly includes a flange outward fitting portion that is mounted on an outer surface of a flange projecting from a door facing surface of the vehicle body and that defines a wire harness threading space for passing the wire harness. The wire harness that passes through the wire harness threading space in the flange outward fitting portion can be arranged in a vehicle body inner panel. The outer protective assembly includes an inner cover and an outer cover. The inner and outer covers are coupled to each other to define a flat space for juxtaposing electrical wires of the wire harness. The inner and outer covers are bent in a U-shaped configuration around the flange to define the flange outward fitting portion.

A washing machine and a control method thereof are disclosed. The washing machine has a plurality of washing tubs to clean laundry in different ways classified according to capacity and types of clothing. Different washing tubs simultaneously stop operations or are stopped at different times spaced apart from each other by a predetermined time, although washing tubs have different washing conditions (e.g., different input times of laundry, different amounts of laundry, different washing courses, etc.) when laundry is cleaned using the washing tubs.

A method for transmitting and receiving data in a multiuser Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system including a base station connected to a plurality of user equipments. In the method, each of the user equipments separately calculates channel capacity information using a linear reception scheme and a nonlinear reception scheme, and feeds back the calculated channel capacity information to the base station. The base station separately calculates system capacities using at least two different antenna scheduling schemes based on the channel capacity information fed back from the user equipments, and allocates antennas to the user equipments using a selected antenna scheduling scheme having higher system capacity out of the two antenna scheduling schemes.

Provided are a semiconductor device and a manufacturing method thereof. A pair of adjacent gate structure can be formed on a substrate. Mask patterns exposing a portion located between the gate structures are formed. The substrate portion located between the gate structures can be etched using the mask patterns as an etch mask to form a pocket. First conduction type impurities can be implanted into the pocket to form a first impurity layer in a surface of the pocket. Second conduction type impurities can be implanted into the pocket to form a second impurity layer on the first impurity layer. The pocket can be filled with an insulating material. Accordingly, impurities having a type opposite to the type of source junction impurities are implanted into the pocket to reduce a potential barrier of a source junction. Consequently, punch-through generated between a source and a drain can be inhibited.
