    Abstract: A backflow prevention assembly includes a body forming two buckets, wherein flow passes through the body from an inlet to an outlet along an axis and consecutively through each of the buckets. A single zone test cover encloses a first of the buckets to form a single zone chamber. A dual zone test cover encloses a second of the buckets with a dual zone cartridge assembly therein. The dual zone test cover has two test cocks. The dual zone cartridge assembly includes a frame having a valve seat, wherein the frame includes a lumen providing fluid communication from a dual zone chamber upstream of the valve seat to a first of the two test cocks of the dual zone test cover, and wherein the second of the two test cocks of the dual zone test cover is in fluid communication with the dual zone chamber downstream of the valve seat.

    Abstract: Stabilized indicator compositions, and systems and methods using the same are described. In embodiments the stabilized indicator compositions include a solvent, an indicator, a stabilizer for the indicator, and optionally a buffer. In embodiments the indicator is or includes N, N-diethyl-p-phenylene diamine (DPD). Systems and methods utilizing the stabilized indicator composition to determine an amount of at least one constituent in a test sample (e.g., water) are also described. In embodiments, the systems and methods remove the stabilizer from the stabilized indicator composition to produce a fluid flow containing un stabilized indicator, which is then combined with a fluid from a sample source to form a test sample for analysis.

    Abstract: A system for remotely measuring the characteristics of water passing through a plumbing control device (PCD) includes a sensor configured to measure characteristics of the water to obtain measured data. The sensor is also linked to a microcontroller of the PCD. An antenna board is linked, and configured to transmit power, to both the microcontroller and the sensor. The antenna board is configured to receive power transmitted from a mobile device and, in turn, transmit power to the microcontroller and the sensor. When power is not being transmitted from the antenna board, the microcontroller and the sensor may be powered off.

    Abstract: A sprinkler backflow alert system includes a sprinkler system, a building fire panel, a backflow preventor including at least one shut-off valve, a fluid detection system, and a tamper switch. The backflow preventor may be fluidly coupled upstream of the sprinkler system. The fluid detection system is configured to detect a discharge of water from the backflow preventor and generate a water discharge signal corresponding to the backflow discharge. The tamper switch is configured to detect a change in a position of the at least one shut-off valve and generate a tamper signal in the event the at least one shut-off valve is closed or partially closed. When a backflow discharge event occurs, a signal is sent to the fire panel triggering the building fire alarm as well as sending an alert to the local fire department and facility owner.

    Abstract: Check valve testing systems and leak detection methods using the same are disclosed. In embodiments the check valve testing system includes a check valve assembly and a pressure sensor. The check valve assembly includes a first pressure zone upstream of the check valve and a second pressure zone downstream of the check valve. An inlet valve and a drain valve may be fluidly coupled to the first pressure zone, an outlet valve may be fluidly coupled to the second pressure zone. The pressure sensor is configured to detect a fluid pressure in the second pressure zone. The controller is configured to communicatively couple to the pressure sensor, and is configured to determine whether there is a leak through the check valve, a leak downstream of then outlet valve, or a leak through the outlet valve when the inlet valve, drain valve, and outlet valve are in various conditions.

The paring verification circuit generates a pairing notification indicative of a status of the sensor/locator pairing based on, at least in part, the detection of the magnet(s) and is a normally closed circuit.
