Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for a sensor web for Internet of Things (“IoT”) devices. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a system can monitor a health status of an IoT sensor device of a plurality of IoT sensor devices. The system can determine that the health status of the IoT sensor device indicates a sensor malfunction experienced by the IoT sensor device, and in response, can generate and send an alert to a forensic analytics module. The alert can identify the sensor malfunction. In response to the alert, the forensic analytics module can determine a last known location of the IoT sensor device. The system can obtain a set of satellite images of the last known location of the IoT sensor device, and can utilize the set of satellite images of the last known location to determine a cause of the sensor malfunction.

Abstract: An antenna system can be controlled to wirelessly transmit power to a mobile device in a far-field environment by using different types of metamaterials to shape and constrain the beam of power, controlling the antenna based on a predicted position of the mobile device, or both of these. The mobile device can use the power to charge a power source associated with the mobile device. The predicted position of the mobile device can be determined using position information, motion and direction information, and height information about the mobile device. The position of the antenna can be controlled so that the power is wirelessly transmitted to the mobile device in the Fresnel zone of the antenna.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for a spatial telemeter alert reconnaissance system (“STARS”). According to one aspect disclosed herein, the STARS can receive, from a spatial mapping and monitoring (“SMM”) device, an initial space map for a space in which the SMM device is deployed. The initial space map can include a volume capacity of the space. The STARS can receive, from a user device, at least one space parameter to be utilized for the space in which the SMM device is deployed. The STARS device can update the SMM device in accordance with the space parameter. In some embodiments, the at least one space parameter can include a mapping frequency. The mapping frequency can instruct the SMM device to perform spatial mapping of the space at a specified time interval.

Additional embodiments can include identifying the first meeting location based on the group of meeting locations, and providing the first meeting location to each communication device of the group of communication devices, each communication device presents the first meeting location during the communication session. Abstract: A method includes monitoring environmental conditions surrounding a moving vehicle, using an on-board sensor of the moving vehicle, detecting that at least one of the environmental conditions surrounding the moving vehicle is likely to impair visibility for a driver of the moving vehicle, based on an output of the on-board sensor, acquiring static map data for a location surrounding the moving vehicle, acquiring real time sensor data for the location surrounding the moving vehicle, where the real time sensor data comprises outputs of a plurality of on-board sensors of a plurality of other vehicles, generating an augmented reality view of the location surrounding the moving vehicle, using the static map data, the real time sensor data, and the output of the on-board sensor, and displaying the augmented reality view of the location surrounding the moving vehicle on a display within the moving vehicle.

Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to incentivized rental vehicle return. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a user device can determine a return location and a return date for a rental vehicle that is subject to an existing vehicle rental agreement between a user and a rental company. The user device can calculate a return on investment (“ROI”) for the return location and the return date in consideration of an incentive to be provided to the user, compare the ROI to an initial ROI based on the existing vehicle rental agreement, and determine whether the ROI is greater than the initial ROI. The user device also can present, to the user, a return option that identifies the return location, the return date, and the incentive when the ROI is greater than the initial ROI.
