Abstract:
Spark erosion system for removing connection elements from a structure (W, 60), having a drill head (3) [(4)?], a rotational drive (10) by means of which a tool is caused to rotate, a positioning system (15) for moving the tool as well as a process control (48) for controlling the overall system, the system comprising an energy unit (30) and an electric circuit, and in that, furthermore, the tool is a tube electrode (5) through whose interior (5a) a dielectric can be guided to the surface (61a) of the connection element (61) to be detached, which surface (61a) faces the interior (7a), in order to cause a voltage between the tube electrode (5) and the connection element (61) to be detached, for implementing a spark erosion.
Abstract:
A connecting line is intended to connect a gas bag for a gas bag-type occupant protection system with a gas generator. The connecting line includes a gas exit section intended to be arranged within a gas bag and having outer surface area. The gas exit section is provided with at least one gas exit port. The gas exit port has at least one gas guidance surface area which extends from the outer surface area of the gas exit section into the interior of the gas exit section of the said connecting line with a predetermined depth.
Abstract:
A gas generator including a housing, at least one pipeline connected to the housing and directing generated gas to an airbag, a coupling piece which connects the housing with the pipeline, and at least one elastic seal. The seal is arranged between the coupling piece and the housing and also between the coupling piece and the pipeline. The seal has projections penetrating into recesses in the housing.
Abstract:
An attachment device for securing a gas bag module to a vehicle part is provided. The gas bag module has a housing with at least one receiving opening in the housing. The attached device includes at least one nut which is received in the receiving opening. The nut is fixed to the housing so as to be non-rotatable but substantially linearly displaceable with respect to the housing so that a guide for the housing is formed. The gas bag module further includes at least one bolt screwed into the nut for attaching the gas bag module to the vehicle part. The bolt, in cooperation with the nut and the opening, serves for connecting the gas bag module to the vehicle part.
Abstract:
A gas bag module for a vehicle steering wheel is provided, which comprises a gas bag, a gas bag cover and a switching foil located in the gas bag cover. The switching foil is mounted in the gas bag cover in such a way that it is detachable and replaceable without the gas bag cover having to be dismantled.
Abstract:
The process for manufacturing an open pore foam body with three dimensional ceramic network, in particular as a filter for the treatment of hot gases or as a catalyst substrate, has as its starting material a block of open pore plastic foam. This is impregnated at least once with a ceramic suspension, freed of excess ceramic suspension and heated to a temperature below the melting point of the plastic, then finally burnt off at a temperature at which the ceramic sinters together. The plastic foam block of the prescribed outer dimensions is cooled down and machined to produce a Z-flow filter with high precision longitudinal channels.
Abstract:
A fastening clip (10) for mounting a component part (28), especially an airbag or an airbag module, on a support (30) includes a head portion (12), a clip body (14) and retaining elements (16) laterally projecting from the clip body (14) which are elastically deflectable. The clip body (14) defines an interior and includes windows (20) through which the retaining elements (16) protrude outwardly from the interior. An assembly having such fastening clip (10) furthermore includes a support (30) having a mounting aperture (34) matching with the dimensions of the clip body (14).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an airbag protection device (10) for a vehicle occupant restraint system comprising an airbag mounting device (12). The airbag mounting device (12) comprises first and second mounting members (14) which are mounted to the vehicle (100) spaced apart from each other and a cross-member (16) made of bent wire. An airbag (22) is mounted to the cross-member (16) in the folded state.A method of manufacturing said airbag protection device (10) for a plurality of different types of vehicles comprises providing first and second mounting members (14), the mounting members (14) being configured independently of the vehicle type, bending a wire to form a cross-member (16) in response to the respective type of vehicle, fastening the cross-member (16) to the mounting members (14) and mounting an airbag (22) to the cross-member (16).
Abstract:
An airbag (10) for a vehicle occupant restraint system includes an airbag wall (14) having a gas outlet opening (26), and a control strap (16) extending through an interior of the airbag along an airbag depth (y) that is defined by a distance between two airbag wall areas (27, 28), the airbag wall areas (27, 28) being situated opposite to each other and the airbag wall areas (27, 28) being joined to one another by the control strap (16). A wall section (20) is turned one of inside and outside relative to the inflated airbag (10), depending on the airbag depth (y), such that, in response to a displacement of the control strap (16), the airbag (10) can be moved from a first outer contour, in which the airbag depth (y) is large and the wall section (20) is turned into the interior of the airbag, to a second outer contour, in which the airbag depth (y) is smaller and the wall section (20) is turned outside. The airbag (10) has a closure (18) for the gas outlet opening (26) that is joined, on the one hand, to the control strap (16) and, on the other hand, to the wall section (20). The closure (18) can be actively moved in opposite directions respectively by the control strap (16) and the wall section (20), in order to open and close the gas outlet opening (26) to one of a greater and lesser extent.
Abstract:
A vehicle occupant restraint system has a side gas bag which is arranged folded along a roof frame of a vehicle. The side gas bag is configured such that in an inflated condition a front inflatable section at a front end of the side gas bag projects further into the vehicle interior than an inflatable portion adjoining the front inflatable section in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
