Abstract:
A near real-time physical transportation network routing system comprising: a traffic simulation computing grid and a dynamic traffic routing service computing grid. The traffic simulator produces traffic network travel time predictions for a physical transportation network using a traffic simulation model and common input data. The physical transportation network is divided into a multiple sections. Each section has a primary zone and a buffer zone. The traffic simulation computing grid includes multiple of traffic simulation computing nodes. The common input data includes static network characteristics, an origin-destination data table, dynamic traffic information data and historical traffic data. The dynamic traffic routing service computing grid includes multiple dynamic traffic routing computing nodes and generates traffic route(s) using the traffic network travel time predictions.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of determining a discount for purchased items, the method comprising providing a plurality of items to be purchased by a customer, applying a recursive discount scheme for determining available discounts for said plurality of items to be purchased, selecting a highest discount value from said available discounts for said plurality of items, and notifying said customer of said highest discount value for said plurality of items.
Abstract:
A torsional vibration damper, particularly for use in the power train of a motor vehicle, employs one or more preferably arcuate coil springs having constant inner radii and one or more sets of neighboring smaller-diameter convolutions next to one or more sets of neighboring larger-diameter convolutions. The coil spring or springs is or are compressible by the retainers of two components which can turn, about a common axis, with and relative to each other and at least one of which defines a chamber for the coil spring(s). The retainers of the components can act upon the adjacent end convolutions of the coil spring or of two or more series-arranged coil springs between them by way of plastic slide elements and/or elastic bumpers. One or more plastic slides can partially surround selected convolutions to maintain it or them out of contact with the surface surrounding the coil spring(s) even when such spring or springs is or are being acted upon by centrifugal force in response to high-speed rotation of the components.
Abstract:
Vaccine compositions useful for vaccination against a target influenza strain, and method and kits for using the same. The vaccines comprise a live attenuated influenza virus that is synthetically constructed based upon a backbone platform derived from a bat influenza strain, and heterologous surface proteins HA and NA derived from the target influenza strain. The live attenuated virus is non-reassortant with native, circulating influenza strains, and can be used to create vaccines for humans and other animals.
Abstract:
A method for intra-cluster D2D retransmission comprises: calculating parameters of a first and a second retransmission modes for an acknowledgement device in a cluster at which data from a network node is decoded correctly; reporting the parameters to the network node; and determining whether or not to retransmit the data to at least one non-acknowledgement device in the cluster at which the data from the network node is decoded incorrectly, in response to a selection between the first and the second retransmission modes from the network node based at least in part on the parameters according to a pre-determined criterion.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to communication of data in a wireless communication system that enables relaying of data between an originating node (3) and a destined node (1). In the arrangement information of a radio resource allocated to the destined node is provided where after communications on the allocated resource are monitored. Relaying of data between the originating node (3) and the destined node (1) is controlled based on the monitoring.
Abstract:
A process of producing isopropyl benzene which solves the problem of high amount of n-propyl benzene according to the prior art. The process separates the polyisopropyl benzene through a suitable rectification into two streams of relatively lighter and heavier components, wherein the content of diisopropylbenzene in the stream of relatively lighter components is controlled to be at least greater than 95 wt %, and the content of tri-isopropyl benzene in the stream of relatively heavier components is controlled to be at least greater than 0.5 wt %. Such a technical solution subjecting the two streams respectively to the transalkylation solves the problem raised from the prior art, and is useful for the industrial production of isopropyl benzene.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a clutch unit, which has two subunits. One subunit is connected to the output shaft of an engine, and the other subunit is pre-mounted on the side of the transmission. Both subunits are coupled to one another via an axial plug-type connection, which includes meshing first profiles and second profiles.
Abstract:
Lignocellulosic biomass is noted for its recalcitrance to deconstruction as a feedstock for biofuel production. A two-step pretreatment method with the aim of enhancing cellulose digestibility, bypassing the traditional severe pretreatment reaction conditions and improving the overall economics of biofuel production is disclosed herein. A 1st pretreatment step is used to partially remove hemicellulose and lignin. A 2nd pretreatment step using electrolyzed water is used to break the crystalline structure and to remove residual hemicellulose and lignin before enzymatic hydrolysis for releasing fermentable sugars. A digestibility of 95% can be achieved by the two-step approach.
Abstract:
A relay method comprising receiving data from a first node and a second node; estimating the symbols in the data received from said first node and said second node; transmitting the estimated data from the first node to the second node and the estimated data from the second node to the first node.
