    摘要: In order to adapt the damping behavior at a wider range in a process for damping torsional vibrations and in a torsional vibration damper, the length of an elastic element can be changed in dependence on a relative angle between two rotational subassemblies, with the degree of change in length being variable in dependence on the relative angle. Furthermore, a thrust piston of a coupling element, which couples the two subassemblies, can be displaced in dependence on the relative angle, relative to a first one of the two subassemblies.

The primary mass defines a ring-shaped chamber, and the ring-shaped chamber is divided into at least two portions. The secondary mass is rotatably connected to the primary mass. The damping unit couples the primary and secondary masses to each other in a rotationally elastic manner. The damping unit comprises a plurality of elastic members, a pair of end guide, and a friction member disposed between the elastic members.

    摘要: A power coupling mechanism includes a flexible disk-like plate, a ring element, first and second input plates and a driven plate. The ring element is coupled to an outer radial portion of the flexible plate. The input plates are formed of deformed sheet metal material to at least partially define a viscous fluid filled chamber that encloses a dampening mechanism. The input plates are fixed to the ring element and the flexible plate such that center and inner radial portions of the flexible plate are axially spaced from the input plates to permit axial flexing. The driven plate at least partially extends into an annular housing of the dampening mechanism and has grooves interfitting with protrusions of the annular housing to provide structural support against thrust and radial forces. An inertia element with a ring gear is preferably connected to the driven plate.

    摘要: The invention proposes a two-mass flywheel for the drive line of a motor vehicle. The two-mass flywheel comprises a torsional vibration damper with, distributed over the periphery, a plurality of coil springs (31, 31') which are braced on one another via sliding shoes (43). The sliding shoes (43) guide the springs (31) in a passage (29). End shoes (41) bearing on the end springs (31') and the sliding shoes (43) have extension pieces which prevent the springs (31, 31') bearing on the outer contours of the passage (23) at relatively high rotary speeds. The passage contains viscous lubrication so that in conjunction with slip-promoting coating on the end shoes (41) and sliding shoes (43) a very low basic friction is achieved.

    摘要: In an elastic clutch of disk design, particularly a split flywheel for an internal combustion engine, a coupling including an oblong spring is arranged between two coupling halves that are mutually rotatable. Essentially stretched in relaxed condition, the spring is subdivided in two or more partial sections by wedge-shaped spring cups, the longitudinal axes of which partial sections have relative to one another a buckled arrangement. Obtained in this way is a spring favorable for specific operating conditions, with a low spring stiffness, but with the spring being composed of essentially straight-line partial sections. Provided thereby is a spring that can be manufactured at low cost, which, in operation, is favorably stressed and not subjected to any wear.
