摘要: The invention relates to a sulfur-crosslinkable rubberization mixture for metallic or textile strength members containing at least one novolac resin comprising alkyl urethane units and produced by reaction of a phenolic compound, an aldehyde and a carbamate resin, wherein the carbamate resin is produced by reaction of alkyl urethane with an aldehyde, and at least one etherified melamine resin. 摘要: The present invention relates to a sulfur-crosslinkable rubberization mixture for metallic strength members containing at least one novolac resin comprising alkyl urethane units and produced by reaction of a phenolic compound, an aldehyde and a carbamate resin, wherein the carbamate resin is produced by reaction of alkyl urethane with an aldehyde, and at least one etherified melamine resin. 摘要: Modified thermoplastic hydrocarbon thermoplastic resins are provided, as well as methods of their manufacture and uses thereof in rubber compositions. The modified thermoplastic resins are modified by decreasing the relative quantity of the dimer, trimer, tetramer, and pentamer oligomers as compared to the corresponding unmodified thermoplastic resin polymers, resulting in a product that exhibits a greater shift in the glass transition temperature of the elastomer(s) used in tire formulations. This translates to better viscoelastic predictors of tire tread performance, such as wet grip and rolling resistance. The modified thermoplastic resins impart remarkable properties on various rubber compositions, such as tires, belts, hoses, brakes, and the like. Automobile tires incorporating the modified thermoplastic resins are shown to possess excellent results in balancing the properties of rolling resistance, tire wear, snow performance, and wet braking performance.

In some aspects the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber has from 51 to 300 phr of the at least one hydrocarbon resin which is built up to the extent of 30 to 100 wt. % from aromatic monomers, and in some cases, the hydrocarbon resin is built up to the extent of 30 to 100 wt. % from at least one aromatic monomer from the group consisting of alpha-methylstyrene and/or styrene and/or vinyltoluene and/or indene and/or coumarone and/or methylindene and/or methylcoumarone.

The invention further relates to motor vehicle pneumatic tires comprising the sulfur-crosslinked rubberizing mixture. For improved resistance to cracking and growth of cracks with good adhesion and good mechanical and dynamic properties, the high-dispersibility silica has a CTAB number to ASTM D 3765 of more than 130 m2/g.

Further, motor vehicle pneumatic tires are disclosed that comprise the sulfur-crosslinked rubberizing mixture. The key conflict between tear propagation resistance, stiffness and heat build-up is solved by virtue of the carbon black being a nanostructured carbon black with a rough surface.
