    摘要: A multiwavelength, multistage optical amplifier, which can be arranged in a cascade, substantially increases the degree of automatic power control (APC), multiwavelength APC (MAPC), and multiwavelength automatic gain control (MAGC), for at least two wavelengths. The multiwavelength, multistage optical amplifier or amplifier cascade has at least two spectrally different gain media (GM), i.e. first and second GM, connected in series for amplifying a signal having at least two wavelengths, i.e. first and second wavelengths. The first GM may be aluminosilicate erbium doped fiber, the second GM may be germanosilicate erbium doped optical fiber. The gain at the first wavelength is smaller than the gain at the second wavelength, while the signal power at the first wavelength is larger than the signal power at the second one, and vice versa. This may automatically compensate for loss tilt. The gain media may be homogeneously broadened.

The foregoing method provides a potential distribution which is symmetrical in the boundary region between the neighboring pixels such that the display size of the real image of each of the pixels is uniform and an afterimage may be prevented, thereby improving the display performance.

    摘要: A scan driver drives a display device having a plurality of gate lines transferring scan signals, and a plurality of source lines transferring data signals. The scan driver includes a shift register and a multiple signal applying unit. The shift register includes a plurality of cascade-connected stages, each stage having an output terminal electrically connected to a respective one of the plurality of gate lines. The multiple signal applying unit applies a sub scan signal and a main scan signal. The sub scan signal and the main scan signal sequentially activate each of the plurality of gate lines. Therefore, the scan lines receive the scan signal twice, so that the liquid crystal capacitors electrically connected to the gate lines receive the data voltage twice. As a result, even though the time for charging the liquid crystal capacitors may be reduced, the liquid crystal capacitors may be fully charged to enhance display quality.

    摘要: A filter device for a vacuum cleaner includes a casing having a collecting space therein, a suction opening through which air including dust is sucked, formed eccentrically at one side so that sucked air can be rotated and a discharge opening through which purified air is discharged. A filter is installed at an internal space of the casing, for filtering dust from air sucked through the suction opening. A filter cleaning unit is disposed at an outer circumferential surface of the filter, for cleaning the filter by being rotated by a rotation force of air sucked through the suction opening. A rotation restrainer is provided for restraining rotation of the filter cleaning unit when the filter cleaning unit reaches a topmost position. Accordingly, fine dust attached to the filter in cleaning is removed so that a channel of the filter can be prevented from being closed.
