摘要: In a fuel injector arranged such that fuel injection is controlled by an opening/closing operation of a solenoid valve, occurrence of bouncing motion of the valve rod after the deenergization of the solenoid valve to terminate the fuel injection is prevented by forming a stopper with a flat surface for making in-plane contact with the end surface of the valve rod and defining in the valve rod a pressure chamber having an opening at the end surface. The chamber is adapted to be filled with the fuel to suppress the bouncing motion of the valve rod at the valve opening operation.

摘要: A fuel injector has a solenoid valve which is opened and closed for spilling off pressurized fuel from a fuel pressure chamber in order to control fuel injection. The solenoid valve is provided with a valve rod that has one end connected with an armature, is formed with a valve head tapered to increase in diameter with increasing distance from the armature and is guided by a guide hole for reciprocal motion, with a fuel reservoir formed to surround the valve head and communicate with the chamber housing the armature, and with a tapered portion for seating the largest diameter portion of the valve head and being formed in the wall of the fuel reservoir to decrease in diameter in the direction of the armature. When the pressurized fuel is spilled to the armature chamber as a low pressure portion, it exerts a force on the valve rod in the direction of valve opening, thereby enabling the valve movement to be completed rapidly.

摘要: A solenoid valve is installed between a high-pressure side leading to a compressor of a fuel-injection pump and a low-pressure side to adjust the fluidic connection therebetween. This valve comprises a valve body, an armature, a solenoid which moves the armature, and a return spring. In the solenoid valve, a passage connecting an armature chamber and a balance chamber is formed around the edge of the opposite side of the armature, a rising-pressure preventing passage is provided to prevent an increase in pressure in the armature chamber, and compensation mechanism is provided in the junction area between the different members which accommodate the valve body, to thereby absorb a gap or misalignment between the sliding holes of the different members.

摘要: A method for spreading thin soft rectangular articles such as cloths, unwoven cloths, paper sheets, plastic sheets, etc. (generally called "rectangular sheets") is disclosed. A part of a first side of a rectangular sheet including one corner of a rectangular sheet is suspended in the air as held nearly horizontally by gripping the corner and another point on the side by grippers which are slidable on a horizontal rail. Accordingly, a second side of the rectangular sheet including the one corner is made to hang down nearly vertically. Then the lowermost end of the second side is gripped by another gripper that is movable vertically along a vertical rail. Except for the one corner, the initially held part of the one side is released, and the rectangular sheet is held with the two adjacent corners at the opposite ends of the second side gripped by two grippers which are movable on the rail. By separating these two grippers on the rail, the rectangular sheet can be spread out to be ready for the next processing step. If necessary, a part of the horizontal rail is tiltable so that the hanging second side can be held precisely vertically for facilitating the gripping of the lowermost end of the second side by the gripper on the vertical rail.

摘要: In a conveyor for continuously conveying linens or like materials one by one as gripped at a plurality of points by chucks moving along a rail, a first sensor for detecting passage of the chuck is disposed at a predetermined position along the rail, and two or more second sensors for detecting existence of a linen are disposed at two or more predetermined positions. Means is provided for expanding a distance between adjacent chucks being moved continuously in the proximity of the first sensor. In response to detection signals issued from the sensors, the condition of the chucks gripping the linens can be recognized whether a given chuck is gripping a front corner, a rear corner or a middle point on an upper edge of a linen, it is gripping only one point of a linen, or it is gripping nothing (that is, idle).

摘要: A knock deriving apparatus for an internal combustion engine wherein only a knock signal is precisely derived from the output signal of a knock sensor including a noise signal component by the provision of first and second frequency filters serially connected to the knock sensor. The first frequency filter has a band width wider than that of the second frequency filter to cover a resonant noise. The resultant band width by the series combination of both filters is set to just cover a frequency band where knocks occur. The output of the first frequency filter is converted to a comparative reference signal which is compared in a comparator with the output of the second filter, thereby deriving a stable knock signal.

摘要: A knock suppression system for an internal combustion engine in which the occurrence of knocks is suppressed by quickly providing a corresponding control signal previously stored in a memory and determined on the basis of operating conditions of the engine so that knocks can be effectively suppressed. As the operating conditions vary due to change in ignition timing, A/F ratio, combustion chamber temperature, inlet air temperature, humidity, or the like, the control signal is corrected and updated to compensate for the change in knock level. Also, even at the transient state of the engine where the factors introducing knocks largely vary, a correction control signal corresponding to the variations during the transient operation can be carried out, thereby effectively and quickly suppressing engine knocks.

摘要: An ignition timing correcting system generates a reference signal at a reference angular position of a rotating internal combustion engine and an ignition signal leading it by a constant phase. In response to a control signal from a movable tap on a potentiometer, the ignition signal is normally retarded in phase to form a retarded ignition signal. The phase comparison of the two signals produces an advance or a retardation signal formed of a pulse train having a pulse-width corresponding to a phase difference between the two ignition signals. During the idling of the engine, the correcting signal drives forwardly or reversely an electric reversible motor to move the tap on the potentiometer to adjust the control signal. During the knocking of the engine, a knocking sensed signal is added to the control signal from the potentiometer to further retard the ignition signal. During the idling of the engine, the knocking sensed signal is disabled to retard the ignition signal.
