    摘要: A method for transmitting wireless signals from a plurality of wireless access points (AP) to a train is disclosed in this invention. The method includes a step of connecting a high speed wide-area local area network (WLAN) switch between a network and a multiplexed Ethernet fiber system for receiving and transmitting a plurality of Internet signals to the plurality of wireless access points (AP). The method further includes a step of implementing a wireless signal receiving and distribution system on the train for processing a roaming and handover from receiving the plurality of signals from one of the wireless access point to a next wireless access point. The method further includes a step of distributing the plurality of signals to a plurality of passenger-users traveling on the train.

    摘要: A method for communicating a signal to an instrument in a wellbore includes axially accelerating the instrument in a preselected pattern of acceleration. The predetermined pattern corresponds to the signal to be communicated. The axial acceleration of the instrument is detected, and the signal is decoded from the detected axial acceleration. A signal detection system for an instrument in a wellbore includes an accelerometer oriented along a longitudinal axis of the instrument and means for comparing measurements made by the accelerometer to at least one predetermined pattern.

    摘要: An icing detector probe includes three sections arranged sequentially along the direction of air flow, namely, a first section, a second section and a third section. The shape of the outer surface of the first section is suitable for collecting droplets in the air flow. The shape of the outer surface of the second section is suitable for full decelerating and releasing latent heat of large droplets during their movements. The outer surface of the third section is suitable for icing of large droplets. The probe detects icing by distinguishing and identify large droplets icing. The probe effectively detects types of traditional icing, thus being helpful for exact detection of icing thickness. An icing detector including said icing detector probe is also provided.

    摘要: A network device is configured to receive a registration message from a private user device including a private internet protocol (IP) address associated with the private user device. A public IP address and discrete port number are assigned to the private user device and private IP address and stored in an incoming call table. The registration message is translated to include the public IP address and discrete port number. The registration message is forwarded to a proxy server for registration. An incoming call invitation message is received from a public user device, where the call invitation message is directed to the public IP address and discrete port number associated with the private user device. The call invitation message is translated to include the private IP address associated with the private user device based on the received public IP address and discrete port number and the incoming call table. The call invitation message is forwarded to the private user device.

    摘要: Solid-state laser(s) pumped by incoherent, monochromatic light from sources such as LED arrays and integrating technologies such as high power LED arrays and solid-state laser materials in conjunction with efficient and uniform absorption of pumping energies through a diffusing pump chamber. The resulting laser(s) are compact, robust, low-cost, and able to produce high power output for practical applications. It may efficiently operate over wide temperature and performance ranges, at CW or pulse modes, even with ultra short pulse width and/or extremely high repetition rates. Our inventive structure(s) is/are highly flexible and applicable to a large group of lasing media including those with very short upper state life times. Advantageously, they may be applied to a plethora of laser systems at wavelengths that have important applications and unavailable to other direct pumping technologies.

    摘要: A unified open loop single-user/multiple-user multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system and method are disclosed. The system and method operate without use of channel state information feedback. Instead, the method utilizes channel quality indicator feedback to schedule users to spatial resource blocks. Both symmetric multi-user MIMO schemes (like 2×2 and 4×4) and asymmetric multi-user MIMO schemes are considered. CQI feedback and reduction proposals are also introduced. The method may be used in a proposed network topology.
