    Abstract: An environmental control system of an aircraft includes a heat exchanger configured to cool an airstream and a water extractor arranged in fluid communication with an outlet of the heat exchanger. The water extractor includes a separation mechanism for separating the airstream into a first airstream and a second airstream. The first airstream has water droplets entrained therein. A flow path of the airstream within the separation mechanism includes an angle. The separation mechanism includes a water extractor vessel axially aligned and in fluid communication with the separation mechanism. The water extractor vessel includes a first portion for receiving the first airstream and a second portion for receiving the second airstream. The first portion is configured to collect and remove water droplets from the first airstream.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a shaft internal lubrication system includes a shaft body having an outer wall and a central bore defining an inner wall. The shaft internal lubrication system also includes a plurality of lubrication holes axially distributed along the central bore and fluidically connecting the inner wall and the outer wall. At least one rifling groove on the inner wall forms a lubrication flow path to two or more of the lubrication holes. The shaft internal lubrication system further includes a feed tube within the central bore operable to drip feed a lubricant to the inner wall.

    Abstract: A pump system includes a turbine shaft including a turbine disposed thereon to rotate the turbine shaft at a turbine shaft speed due to fluid flow through the turbine and a centrifugal pump directly connected to the turbine shaft and configured to pump hydraulic fluid at the turbine shaft speed. The pump system also includes a speed reduction system operatively connected to the turbine shaft and configured to have an output speed less than the turbine shaft speed and a valve operatively connected to the speed reduction system that is configured to operate at the output speed. The valve is configured to meter flow to the turbine to regulate the turbine shaft speed.
