摘要: Disclosed is a resin composition comprising the reaction product obtained by reacting an isopropenylphenol and/or its oligomers with a straight-chain unsaturated fatty acid, an unsaturated fat or oil, a polymer of diene hydrocarbon or its derivative having carboxyl or hydroxyl substituents at the ends of the polymer molecule, or a maleinized polymer of diene hydrocarbon and then reacting the resulting intermediate product with a polyhydric alcohol and/or a polybasic acid. When used as a coating and particularly as an undercoating for metals, this resin composition exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion and to water. It may either be directly used as an oil-soluble resin composition or be neutralized with a base prior to use as a water-soluble one.

摘要: Solid copolymers are produced by copolymerizing a mixture of: (A) at least 30% by weight of a monomer having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is H or CH.sub.3 and R.sub.2 is an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 14 carbon atoms; (B) from 3 to 20% by weight of an ethylenic .alpha., .beta. unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, or from 3 to 40% by weight of glycidyl acrylate or glycidyl methacrylate; and (C) from 0 to 67% by weight of a monomer copolymerizable with said monomers (A) and (B). Preferably, the mixture is first bulk-polymerized until conversion to the copolymer is from 10 to 80% by weight and the polymerization is completed by suspension-polymerization. Thermosetting solid coating compositions are produced by mixing a major proportion of a solid copolymer so produced with a minor proportion of a cross-linking compound or with an epoxy resin containing at least 2 epoxy radicals in the molecule in presence of a tertiary amine curing accelerator.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a methacrylic resin composition which exhibits excellent flexibility, elasticity, impact resistance, and plasticity and moldability while transparency inherent to methacrylic resins is maintained. A methacrylic resin composition to be produced is composed of 10 to 99 parts by mass of a methacrylic resin (A) containing not less than 80 mass % of a methyl methacrylate unit and 90 to 1 part by mass of a block copolymer (B) containing 10 to 60 mass % of a methyl methacrylate polymer block (b1) and 90 to 40 mass % of an acrylate polymer block (b2) and having a refractive index of 1.485 to 1.495 (the total of (A) and (B) is 100 parts by mass).

摘要: A magnetic tape cartridge in which, to provide a connection between a magnetic tape and a leader tape, any additional steps which lower the productivity, such as the step of using an adhesive, are avoided, the manufacturing process is almost the same as a conventional process, and a positive connection between the leader tape and the magnetic tape is ensured. A single reel having a magnetic tape wound thereon is housed in the cartridge, and a leader tape is connected to an end of the magnetic tape, wherein the leader tape can be drawn out from an opening of the cartridge by a tape-drawing device of a recording/reproducing unit to enable tape travel. The magnetic tape and the leader tape are connected together through a splicing tape, and the length of that portion of the splicing tape bonded to the leader tape is longer than the length of winding of the tape around a guide roller provided in the tape travel path in the recording/reproducing device which changes a direction of said tape travel path at a sharpest angle along said tape travel path.

摘要: An image forming apparatus equipped with a sensor for detecting the requirement of replenishment and exchange of expendable supplies, parts and the like and an image forming structure capable of forming on the same sheet of paper a prewarning image in addition to a regular image formed corresponding to an original or image information to be copied. The image forming structure receives different control depending on whether or not the sensor is detecting the requirement of replenishment and exchange, wherein if the sensor is not detecting the requirement, it forms only a regular image while when the sensor detects the requirement, it forms a prewarning image together with a regular image thereby indicating the requirement of replenishment and exchange by the prewarning image on the same sheet on which a regular image is formed.
