摘要: A saw chain for motor-driven chain saws includes a cutting link which has three mutually adjacent supporting surfaces defining a U-shaped cutout for accommodating a hard metal insert in the form of a cutting plate therein. The support of the insert is provided at only subportions of these supporting surfaces and the remaining subportions provided an adequate spacing so that a solder gap is formed. The hard metal insert placed in this cutout has an adequate service time and does not require special equipment to hold the same during automatic soldering thereof into the cutting link.

摘要: With motor-driven chain saws, there is the danger that the chain saw will be thrown upwardly and rearwardly when it is applied to wood by the user with a forward thrust. Serious injuries can then occur. The invention is directed to a saw chain which is so configured that the cutting forces are automatically reduced in response to the occurrence of excessive reaction forces so that the reaction force is immediately reduced to a tolerable amount thereby eliminating the kickback effect. The drive links of the saw chain which engage into the nose sprocket of the guide bar are so dimensioned that they can further pivot in the tooth gaps of the nose sprocket out of their normal position and, in this way, take the cutting links with them in such a manner that the free angle .alpha. of the cutting teeth is reduced.

摘要: The invention is directed to a saw chain for a motor-driven chain saw which includes cutting links, side connecting links, driving links and safety links. Each safety link has an upper edge defining a wave-like contour that prevents chips from accumulating during the cutting action. The cutting links and safety links of the saw chain are arranged with respect to each other so that overlap is avoided between the tail end of the rearward projection of the safety link and the forward projection of the depth limiter of the cutting tooth. This affords the advantage that cutting chips do not become jammed therebetween.

摘要: A method and apparatus for continuously coating a thread or core with a thermoplastic is disclosed wherein a flowing stream of the plastic, in the form of a melt or liquid monomer is used to convey the core from one or more elongated and heated guide tubes into and through one or more elongated and cooled molding tubes axially aligned with each guide tube whereby the thread or core is automatically centered in the tubes and a uniform outer coating of hardened plastic is applied. The liquid monomer can be treated with a suitable activator or catalyst before entry into the mold tubes or at an intermediate mixing zone located between the exit part of the guide tubes and the inlet part of the cooling tubes. The mixing zone is larger in volume than the tubes and provides an off-center convolution about the exit ports of the guide tubes and coaxial conical exit ports converging into the entry ports of the molding tubes.

摘要: High-voltage pulses are generated and injected in a parallel-capacitative manner into the first stage of a multistage Marx generator at suitable intervals. The high-voltage pulses result in a longitudinal overvoltage triggering of the first spark gap of the Marx generator. As a result, industrial applications are able to generate, in a fault-free manner, high-voltage pulses having a predetermined repetition rate over a prolonged period of time.
