摘要: Organic-inorganic support matrices for immobilized enzymes comprise a solid, porous, inorganic, water insoluble support combined with a copolymeric material resulting from the reaction of aminopolystyrene and a bifunctional monomer. The matrix is prepared by depositing a salt of amino-polystyrene within the pores of the solid support from an aqueous solution at a pH less than 7 after which the resulting composite is then reacted with an excess of a bifunctional reactive monomer thus forming a copolymeric organic material in situ substantially entrapped in the pores of the support and containing functionalized pendent groups to which an enzyme may be coupled to form an immobilized enzyme conjugate.

摘要: Support matrices for immobilized enzymes which comprise a combined organic-inorganic support may be prepared by treating a solid, porous, inorganic, water-insoluble support such as an inorganic porous metal oxide with a styrene monomer, polymerizing the styrene on the solid support at polymerizing conditions, nitrating the resultant polystyrene-solid support composite and thereafter reducing the nitrated polystyrene-solid support composite to form an aminopolystyrene-solid support matrix.

摘要: Embodiments of a food container including a media player are provided. In some embodiments, the food container has an exterior, and the food container comprises at least one compartment sized and dimensioned to accommodate food. Additionally, the food container includes a media player configured to play media content. The container and/or media player includes at least one device that serves as an input device to select media content in the media player of for later play and activation device to activate the play of the selected media content. In another embodiment the container and/or media player includes two devices, one to select media content and another to activate play of the selected media content. The media content can be, for example, a message from a parent or other meal maker to a child for later play by the child during the day.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method and system for enabling efficient reduction of TFCs in the TFCS to achieve desired transmission, while remaining within desired power and data requirements. Upon the UE transmission power requirement exceeding the maximum or allowable transmission power the MAC shall be informed for subsequent TFC selection of all TFCs that currently exceed this limit. The UE will then chose the TFC with the next lower transmission power requirement and the sequence will continue until an acceptable TFC is determined. The present invention also enables the replacement of the TFCs in the TFCS and advanced determination of non-supported TFCs. The TFCs that require transmission power greater then the maximum or allowed UE transmission power shall be determined continuously in every TTI, not just in TTIs where the maximum power has been exceeded.

摘要: A peer-to-peer communication system using a direct link setup (DLS) is disclosed. A mobile station (STA) establishes a direct communication link with another STA by sending a message requesting a DLS to an access point (AP), (i.e., a centralized controller). The AP may accept or reject the DLS request based on channel measurements. If the DLS request is accepted, the DLS is established such that the STAs may directly communicate with each other. An established DLS connection may be torn down by the AP sending a message including a DLS teardown request to one of the STAs, or based on channel measurements. The system may be an Ad hoc network comprising a plurality of STAs without an AP where each STA maintains a database of one-hop and two-hop STAs, and establishes a direct link to other STAs after informing neighboring STAs of an intention to establish a direct communication link.

摘要: A transmitter generates and transmits a low rate signal to its intended receiver. Upon receiving the low rate signal, the intended receiver generates and transmits a channel sounding response (CSR), said CSR being a short burst having a predefined transmit format and carrying predetermined information. The transmitter then analyzes the CSR and determines uplink channel response, estimates downlink channel response, and determines appropriate transmit parameter settings based on the analysis and downlink response estimate. Adjustment of the transmit parameters can be made in either the MAC or PHY layer or in a combination of both. After adjusting its transmit parameters and modulating sub-carriers with user-data according to the determined transmit settings, the transmitter transmits the user-data to the receiver on a preferred portion of bandwidth. In a preferred embodiment, the transmitter also generates and transmits a transmit format control (TFC) signal containing the determined transmit parameter settings, including sub-carrier modulation information, to the receiver.
