摘要: After the power supply of a disk drive that uses a head to write data at any position on a disk or read data written at any position is turned on, the first initial conditions for the disk drive that are needed to receive a command from outside and execute the command are determined. The disk drive is then brought to a state in which it can receive the command but the spindle motor is not started. After the disk drive is brought to the state in which it can receive the command, the spindle motor is started and the second initial conditions including all initial conditions other than the first initial conditions are determined. Moreover, a control method for a disk drive that is implemented in the above disk drive is disclosed.

摘要: Compressor are taught that may include a suction port to draw refrigerant and a discharge port to discharge compressed refrigerant. A driving shaft is disposed within a compressor driving chamber. A swash plate is inclinably and slidably coupled to the driving shaft. The swash plate rotates together with the driving shaft at an inclination angle with respect to a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the driving shaft. A cylinder bore is disposed adjacent to the compressor driving chamber. A piston is disposed within the cylinder bore and an end portion of the piston is connected to a peripheral edge of the swash plate by a shoe. Preferably, the piston reciprocates within the cylinder bore to compress the refrigerant in response to rotation of the inclined swash plate. A rotor is connected to the driving shaft. A hinge mechanism connects the swash plate with the rotor and transmits torque from the driving shaft to the swash plate regardless of the inclination angle of the swash plate. The hinge mechanism includes a projection disposed on one of the rotor or the swash plate and at least one arm disposed on the other of the rotor or the swash plate. The projection has a recessed structure and at least one arm is coupled to the projection to transmit torque from the driving shaft.

摘要: In DRAM divided into plurality of blocks and operating on a block basis, each equalizing circuit is controlled such that release of equalization of an IO line pair is carried out only in a block having a memory cell from which data is to be read for data reading. Since a MOS transistor 40 provided between two IO lines constituting each IO line pair 2 for equalization of these lines and its release is not switched from on to off wastefully, current consumed for charge/discharge of a gate of the MOS transistor is considerably reduced compared to a conventional case.

摘要: In a relaying apparatus, a label information controller generates and transmits label information including at least one of communication medium information on communication media for use in communication with other apparatuses and communication cost information on communication costs that are generated when communication is performed via the relaying apparatus. In a communication apparatus, a route controller receives the label information, creates a list of routes for use in communication with a communication counterpart, and detects a communication route through which communication is to be performed from the list. The route controller creates a list of all routes including, out of relaying apparatuses, relaying apparatuses which enable communication with a counterpart apparatus using a communication medium which the communication apparatus has, and based on the communication cost information included in the label information, detects a communication route which is lowest in communication costs from the list.

摘要: Three-dimensional microstereolithographic objects fabricated by microstereolithography are exposed to UV light for one hour to accelerate hardening. The structures are then heated at 175° C. or above for at least 6 hours. The heating temperature may exceed the glass transition temperature, which is the index of thermal softening temperature of materials. The present invention relates to three-dimensional microstructures formed by microstereolithography. Deformation due to a structure's own weight, which generally poses a problem in heat treatment, is reduced with microstructures due to the size effect. As a result, the dimensions of the three-dimensional structure fabricated by the present invention remain almost unchanged before and after the heat treatment.
