The UE sends a message indicating the UE requests a gap in order for the UE to perform self-calibration of full duplex calibration. The UE receives, from the base station, indication of the gap. The UE performs the self-calibration of full duplex calibration using the gap.

An example method includes receiving an assignment of contention based shared preconfigured uplink resources; receiving an assignment of a common radio network temporary identifier for monitoring downlink control information indicating a negative acknowledgement for contention based shared transmission, and a dedicated radio network temporary identifier for monitoring downlink control information indicating an acknowledgement of transmission of uplink data; transmitting the uplink data using a physical uplink shared channel allocated for the contention based shared preconfigured uplink resource transmission; in response to the downlink control information indicating the negative acknowledgement and uplink grants for multiple physical uplink shared channel resources, retransmitting the uplink data on a selected one of the received uplink grants; and in response to the downlink control information indicating the acknowledgment, not retransmitting the uplink data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to beam selection during downlink positioning. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the terminal devices are grouped based on their characteristics and the anchor terminal device in the group determines the best transmitting beam of the neighbor network device. The non-anchor terminal device uses the assistance information of the best transmitting beam determined by the anchor terminal device. In this way, cost for the terminal device to receive and measure the PRS during downlink positioning has been reduced.

The method further comprises determining a first time difference between a time at which the first RS is transmitted and a time at which the second reference signal is received. In addition, the method comprises transmitting information on the first time difference to a location server. As such, the location server can determine positioning information about the terminal device.

Abstract: To increase positioning accuracy, channel characteristics are determined taking into account receive filter response and transmit filter response. For example, upon receiving assistance data for positioning an apparatus, a transmit sequence is generated using the assistance data; and a combination of the transmit sequence is generated by combining the transmit sequence. Further, a receive filter response is determined, a transmit filter response is obtained, and a combined filter response is generated using the receive filter response and the transmit filter response. Reference signals received over a channel are measured by sampling them into a plurality of time-domain samples, and the channel is estimated from the plurality of time-domain samples using the combined filter response and the combination of the transmit sequence. Then, per channel characteristics, a value of the channel characteristics based on the channel estimated is determined.
