Abstract: In one aspect, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may receive a registration request including requested features by a UE. Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a UE includes receiving an indication information; determining, based on the indication information, whether a connection of the UE is authorized to be offloaded from a first channel to a second channel; determining, when the connection is not authorized to be offloaded, whether there is an ongoing handover procedure to offload the connection of the UE from the first channel to the second channel or whether the indication information is received in a message corresponding to a request to deactivate a default evolved packet system (EPS) bearer of the connection of the UE. The method further includes disregarding the indication information when the connection is not authorized to be offloaded and it is determined that either there is an ongoing handover procedure to offload the connection of the UE from the first channel to the second channel or the message corresponds to a request to deactivate a default EPS bearer of the connection.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network, a procedure rejection message for non-cellular access at a non-access stratum (NAS) layer, and provide a first congestion indication from the NAS layer to lower layers for non-cellular access based at least in part on the receiving the procedure rejection message. The UE may refrain, at the lower layers, from initiating establishment of a signaling connection based at least in part on the first congestion indication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Techniques are described to support call routing and location for a user equipment (UE) with satellite wireless access to a serving PLMN. The UE sends a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE message to a network node, such as a P-CSCF, that includes an indication of satellite access for the UE. In response the network node sends a request to another network node for a cell ID for a fixed cell in which the UE is located. The fixed cell can be independent of satellite radio cells for the serving PLMN. The network node may receive the cell ID for the fixed cell and sends the SIP INVITE message to another network node (e.g., an E-CSCF or LRF) with the cell ID for the fixed cell. The other network node may use the cell ID to route the SIP INVITE message or obtain an approximate location of the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may indicate in system information, or a user equipment (UE) may determine based on system information, which reference signal resources may be used for channel estimation for a given broadcast control channel. In some examples, a base station may configure and transmit reference signals having the same numerology as a broadcast control channel according to a first reference signal pattern during the same subframe in which the broadcast control channel is configured. The first reference signal pattern may be more dense than a second reference signal pattern used for reference signals having a different numerology than the broadcast control channel. The more dense first reference signal pattern may provide sufficient reference signals for successful single-symbol channel estimation, resulting in a successful decoding of the broadcast control channel.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user equipment (UE) dynamically adjusting a non-access stratum (NAS) timer. Specifically, the UE may determine operation in a wideband and support of an extended coverage (EC) restriction. The UE may further identify a duration of a non-access stratum (NAS) timer based on determining operation in the wideband and the EC restriction. The UE may further transmit an access request message to a network entity to trigger a mobility management procedure. The UE may further receive an acceptance message from the network entity indicating an unrestricted or restricted status of the EC restriction. The UE may further apply the duration to the NAS timer based on the acceptance message indicating the unrestricted or restricted status of the EC restriction received from the network entity or a history of EC restrictions of a public land mobile network (PLMN) in a defined geographic area.
