    摘要: An apparatus and a method for using a frequency hopping scheme in a broadcast communication system are provided. A method for transmitting a broadcast signal via at least two frequency bands by a transmission end device in the broadcast communication system includes determining a frequency hopping pattern for providing a broadcast service and transmitting the same; transmitting control information via a first frame after a frequency is changed according to the frequency hopping pattern; and transmitting broadcast data for the broadcast service via a frame transmitted after the first frame.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for mapping and demapping signals in a system using a Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code are provided. In the method, LDPC codeword bits are written column-wise and read row-wise, substreams are generated by demultiplexing the read bits using a demultiplexing scheme, and bits included in each of the substreams are mapped to symbols on a signal constellation. The demultiplexing scheme is determined corresponding to a modulation scheme used in the signal transmitter, a length of the LDPC codeword, and a number of the substreams.

    摘要: A space-time block coding apparatus and method for transmitting an input symbol sequence through a plurality of Tx antennas using a channel information from the receiver in order to improve the performance of a space-time block coding (STFBC). A pre-coder pre-codes an input symbol sequence by multiplying the input symbol sequence by ejθ, θ being a phase rotation angle, the pre-coded symbol sequence being reconstructed to have real and imaginary parts. A grouping mapper forms a grouping pattern based on feedback channel information received from a receiver, and generates a grouping symbol sequence by multiplying the grouping pattern by the pre-coded symbol sequence. A mapper generates symbol vectors by recombining the real and imaginary parts of the grouping symbol sequence in an interleaving scheme. A plurality of Alamouti coders encodes the symbol vectors in an Alamouti scheme and transmits the encoded symbol vectors through corresponding transmit antennas.
