Abstract:
The present invention related to a process for sweetening of LPG light petroleum distillates by liquid liquid extraction using metal phtalocyanine sulphonamide catalyst which comprises extracting the mercaptanes contain in LPG, light petroleum distillate like pentanes, light straight run naphtha by liquid-liquid extraction using an aqueous or alcoholic solution of alkali metal hydroxide of concentration ranging between 1 wt % to 50 wt % in the presence of a metal phthalocyanine sulphonamide catalyst in the concentration ranging from 5-4000 ppmw, at a temperature ranging from 10° C. to 80° C. at a pressure ranging from 1 kg/cm2-50 kg/cm2 in a continuous or batch manner, converting the mercaptanes present in above said extract into corresponding disulphides by passing air, oxygen or any oxygen containing gas at the above same temperature and pressure, regenerating the alkali solution containing catalyst for recycling by separating the upper layer of disulphides from said alkali solution of catalyst.
Abstract:
An exemplary engine noise reduction system, can be provided, which can include a noise reduction fluid source, and a microjet(s) placed at an axial location downstream from a nozzle exit of an engine and configured to asymmetrically inject a noise reduction fluid from the noise reduction fluid source into a jet flow of the engine. The engine can be a jet engine. The microjet(s) can include four microjets, which can be about 90 degrees apart in a plane at the axial location. The four microjets can be asymmetric microjets. The microjet(s) can be configured to inject the noise reduction fluid in a direction that is normal with respect to the jet flow.

Abstract:
A system, program product, and computer implemented method for providing a back-up application agnostic back-up during asynchronous data replication, the method comprising determining if a communicative coupling, coupled to a first site, is set to an automatic mode, based on a positive determination of an automatic mode, setting the communicative coupling to a manual transfer mode, pausing an application on the first site in an application consistent state and creating a snapshot of a portion of a first storage medium on the first site accessed by the application.
Abstract:
A component of a wellbore tool comprises a plurality of compartments disposed over a body of the component and a coating disposed over at least a portion of a surface of the body. Each compartment comprises a healing agent formulated to form or catalyze the formation of a barrier upon release from the compartment. A matrix material separates the plurality of compartments. Methods of forming wellbore tools include forming a body, forming a plurality of capsules, and forming a coating comprising the capsules over the body. Methods of utilizing a wellbore tool in a subterranean borehole include contacting at least a portion of a body with a fluid comprising a healing agent formulated to a barrier. Coatings for wellbore tools include a fiber comprising a plurality of discrete cells and a matrix material contacting and at least partially surrounding the fiber. Each cell comprises a healing agent.
Abstract:
A system, computer program product, and computer implemented method for mapping a Virtual machine (VM) drive to underlying storage, the method comprising locating a signature for a disk mounted to a VM, finding one or more files storage on a storage medium representing the virtual machine file system (VMFS) for a hypervisor that is running the VM, finding a portion of the one or more files on the storage medium that contains the signature, mapping the found portion of the one or more files to be the disk of the VM.

Another method may include steps for performing testing to estimate a parameter of interest of the formation fluid.
Abstract:
A system, method, and computer program product are described for distinguishing between a computing system that is hung in a hang state and systems that are in an idle or otherwise non-hang state which do not need intervention before regaining the ability to adequately process work. According to some approaches, heuristics are employed to perform hang and idle system detection and validation. Data representative of systems resources are analyzed and transformed in order to identify systems that are in a hang state.

Disclosed is an apparatus for retrieving a downhole sample. The apparatus includes: a carrier configured to be conveyed through a borehole penetrating an earth formation; a sample capsule configured to be disposed at the carrier and to contain the sample; and a discharge mechanism configured to discharge the sample capsule downhole into drilling fluid in the borehole.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for estimating a property of a fluid downhole. The apparatus includes a carrier configured to be conveyed through a borehole penetrating the earth. A cantilever is disposed at the carrier and configured to move in the fluid upon receiving a stimulus. An actuator is disposed at the cantilever and configured to provide the stimulus at a frequency less than a lowest resonant frequency of the cantilever. A sensor is disposed at the cantilever and configured to sense a strain imposed on the cantilever due to movement of the cantilever in the fluid in order to estimate the property.
