摘要： A paper making apparatus for producing sheets of paper at speeds in excess of 200 m/minute. A breast roll and a wire cage turning cylinder are disposed above and below a forming roll. The forming roll is a hollow roll having a smooth surface. A belt passes in an S-shape over the forming roll and turning cylinder and a wire belt passes over the breast roll, forming roll and turning cylinder. The head box discharges raw material between the wire belt and the S-shaped belt, and a web is formed along the circumference of the forming roll over an angle of about 100.degree.. A web pick-up device is provided under the turning cylinder to separate the formed web from the wire belt.

摘要： A decoding device improves a cache hit rate in a decoding process of compressed encoded image data. The decoding device, before the decoding process, generates a sort table for each reference picture for a plurality of MPEG data streams included in a GOP and having a frame type of P- or B-picture. The decoding device, by using the generated sort table, selects a group of pictures composed of a plurality of decoding target macro blocks that refer to the same reference macro block. The decoding device obtains, from the reference picture, four macro blocks including the same reference macro block referred to by the selected picture group, and stores the four macro blocks into the cache memory. The decoding device sequentially decodes each decoding target macro block included in the selected picture group, by using the four macro blocks stored in the cache memory.

This information recording medium is featured in that both sides of the information recording medium are constituted by a first surface provided with the protective film and by a second surface formed opposite to the first surface, and that an irradiated light beam is irradiated through the first surface, a recorded information being reproduced based on changes in light intensity of the reflected light beam. The distance between the recording surface of the substrate and the light incident surface is smaller than a thickness of the substrate, and a surface roughness “R” of the light incident surface meets a relationship represented by the following formula (1): R≦λ/(8n) (1) wherein λ is a wavelength of the light beam, and n is a refractive index of the first protective film to a light having the wavelength λ.

摘要： A gas turbine control system is disclosed which operates to stabilize the system frequency in a case of transitional variations of the system frequency without making the strength of hot gas path parts of the gas turbine below a maximum stress value of the hot gas path parts. When a system frequency abnormality is detected, the output of the gas turbine is adjusted to recover the system frequency by making a gas turbine combustion gas temperature control inoperative. For this purpose, there are provided a logical circuit operative to make the gas turbine combustion gas temperature control disabled or inoperative in response to an abnormal system frequency detection signal, and a recovery circuit that operates to cancel the inoperative state of the gas turbine combustion gas temperature control. The detection of an abnormal system frequency may be carried out by an outside signal. An abnormality detection unit may be provided in a combined cycle plant.
