摘要: A plating method, despite employing a face-down manner of plating and using a resistor body between a substrate and an anode, can securely bring an entire surface to be plated of the substrate into contact with a plating solution without permitting intrusion of air bubbles to the surface to be plated, thereby enabling uniform plating, and can easily regulate the temperature of the plating solution. The plating method for carrying out plating of a downwardly-facing surface to be plated of a substrate by applying a voltage between the surface to be plated and an anode disposed below the substrate in the presence of a plating solution between the surface to be plated and the anode, comprises disposing a resistor body above the anode and immersing the resistor body in the plating solution, allowing the plating solution to flow along an upper surface of the resistor body from the periphery toward the center of the resistor body, thereby creating a raised portion of the plating solution in the center of the upper surface of the resistor body, and then lowering the substrate with the surface facing downwardly so as to fill the space between the surface to be plated of the substrate and the upper surface of the resistor body with the plating solution.

摘要: A recording method includes the steps of reading a management table for managing whether data are recorded on a recording medium in units of a first recording segment; detecting whether the first recording segment is associated with a second recording segment smaller than the first recording segment according to a designation of data recording in units of the second recording segment into the recording medium; discriminating from data in the management table whether it is possible to read data of the first recording segment; reading the data in units of the first recording segment and temporarily recording the data to a memory when in the discriminating step it is determined that it is possible to read data in units of the first recording segment; recording data to a part of the first recording segment recorded in the memory in units of the second recording segment; and recording data of the first recording segment that was temporarily recorded in the memory to the storage medium.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to effectively and easily manage and use contents. A disc ID database composed of information correlated with disc IDs unique to individual discs is pre-created. When a new disc that has not been registered to the disc ID database is used or when a check-out or a check-in is performed, the disc ID database is updated. When ripping is performed for a CD, a disc for which a check-out is reserved is designated so that the disc is correlated with a disc ID registered in the disc ID database. After the check-out has been reserved, when a disc having the disc ID that has been reserved is connected, the check-out is automatically preformed. Thus, contents can be effectively and easily managed and used.

摘要: A service body comprises a right server, a content server, and a buddy server. The right server correlatively manages charging information and a unique disc ID of each disc. The content server manages a content that is distributed and information associated therewith. The buddy server correlatively manages a disc ID of an information provider side and a disc ID of an information recipient side. A user loads a disc he or she bought from the service body into a disc drive device, logs in the content distributing server, and obtains information corresponding to the disc ID.

摘要: This invention provides a camera case for stopping degradation of picture quality even if pictures are taken with a camera still in the case. Also, this invention provides a camera case with which it is possible to smoothly remove a strap from the case body. For example, a bent section is provided in a case body. Even if light emitted from a flash enters a thickened part of the case body, the light is diverged to the outside by the bent section. In this way, the amount of light transmitted from the flash to the lens of the camera is reduced. Further, a rib may be provided in the case body. In this way, light emitted from the flash and reflected by the inner surface of the case body is inhibited from reaching the lens of the camera. A strap is also supported by support pieces. If a strong tensile force is applied to the strap, the support pieces are deformed and the strap and the case body are separated.

摘要: A catalytic combustion apparatus for gas turbine or an exhaust gas purifier apparatus comprises a honeycomb structure disposed in a flow tube. A ring-shaped fringe region of the lower-course end face of the honeycomb structure abuts against a ring-shaped second supporting member. The second supporting member has a plurality of passages which allow a fluid to flow out downstream from the fringe region. In this arrangement, the fluid from the fringe region is caused to flow downstream through these passages. Accordingly, tensile thermal stress is reduced, so that the honeycomb structure is prevented from being damaged thereby. Since the honeycomb structure is supported by the second supporting member in planar contact therewith, moreover, stress is prevented from being concentrated on part of the structure. Thus, the honeycomb structure can be securely supported without being damaged by any stress.
