    摘要: A device for conveying inhomogenous solid matter, particularly biomass, includes an endless screw. The endless screw is located in a sleeve fitted with a counter screw, which allows better transportation, and the possible creation of a plug of compressed material at predetermined points on the screw, which isolates the device from the outside. The device can be coupled with at least one other endless screw, which can be put under a pressure greater than the device. The screw erodes the plug and transports the matter so obtained, for example to a pressurized reactor. With the device, a pressure difference between for example a raw material storage tank and a reactor does not lead to excessive cost in terms of pressurizing gas.

    摘要: A synchronous circuit comprises a functional circuitry and one or more validation circuits for validating synchronization of the functional circuitry. The functional and the validation circuits are clocked by a clock source. Each validation circuit comprises a clock distribution network, a test signal generator, a capture cell, a test signal path from the test signal generator to the capture cell, and a verification unit. The clock distribution network applies a launch clock signal at the test signal generator and a capture clock signal at the capture cell. The test signal generator produces a bi-level test signal. The test signal path transmits the test signal to the capture cell, which generates a proof sequence by sampling the test signal. The verification unit determines whether the proof sequence is identical to the test sequence.A method of designing a synchronous circuit and method of validating a synchronous circuit are also described.

    摘要: An energy efficient, very flexible and safe feeding apparatus serves for creation of one or more plugs of compressible material for feeding into a gasifier, reactor or other combustion chamber. This apparatus includes a piston feeder with at least three pistons for pre-compressing and delivering compressible material towards a mouthpiece serving as a non-return valve and having an exit end facing a braking device with a friction member for regulating the final degree of compression of the material, and an opposing inlet end for at least partly compressed material. The inner diameter of at least an inlet section extending from the inlet end of the mouthpiece increases towards the first end, so that an angle between the inner wall of at least the inlet section and the longitudinal axis of the mouthpiece is larger than 0° but less than or equal to 3°.
