Abstract: An infrared radiation screening arrangement includes a special core structure and an outer gas guiding ring which together serve to block the direct view of a hot engine exhaust gas outlet and associated hot engine parts in order to hinder IR-detection of the engine. The gas guiding ring and the core structure define a cooling air guide channel with cooling air inlets for cooling the components of the arrangement and for cooling the exhaust gas stream which is ejected in an essentially unaltered direction.

Abstract: The invention relates particularly to a spectacle lens having a first and a second surface, wherein at least the first surface of the spectacle lens has a major portion zone and at least one prism zone. The major portion zone of the first surface, together with the opposing second surface of the spectacle lens, forms a major portion of the spectacle lens, which is designed for vision in at least a predetermined distance. The prism zone of the first surface, together with the opposing second surface of the spectacle lens, forms a prism portion, which is designed and arranged such that an optical image of a display is formed at a predetermined virtual distance in front of the eyes of the spectacle wearer. The invention further relates to spectacles, which comprise the spectacle lens, and to a method and apparatuses for calculating or optimizing and producing the spectacle lens.

Abstract: The invention relates to a spectacle lens device comprising at least one electrically adaptive area, wherein optical properties of the spectacle lens device can be controlled in an electric manner. The spectacle lens device is configured in such a manner that the optical properties of a predetermined or predeterminable control area can be controlled in an electrical manner which is essentially independent from the optical properties in a surrounding area. The invention also relates to the control area and to the surrounding area, respectively, about a partial area of the electrically adaptive area. The control area and the surrounding area do not a common area. The invention further relates to a pair of spectacles comprising a spectacle lens device, to the use of the inventive spectacle lens device and also to a method for operating an electrically adaptive area.
