摘要: In a clutch plate of an annular shape and a wet type, a plurality of lubrication grooves each taking a U-shape in cross-section are formed on a friction engaging surface on at least one end side. The groove is provided with a groove forming portion crossing the circumferential direction and blunt portions extending along both sides of the groove forming portion and connecting the friction engaging surface with the groove forming portion. Where a straight line passing across one side end of the groove and extending in a radial direction is assumed as a virtual straight line, in a section of the groove taken along a plane that is orthogonal to the virtual straight line and that includes the one side end, the width of the blunt portion on one side is in a range of 0.12 to 0.35 mm, and the depth of the blunt portion is in a range of 25 to 50 μm.

摘要: A rotational speed parameter is detected in accordance with a rotational speed of the engine. A reference value of the rotational speed parameter is calculated. For each cylinder, an error between the reference value and the rotational speed parameter detected every predetermined crank angle is calculated as a relative speed parameter. For each cylinder, an integrated value is calculated by integrating the relative speed parameters over a predetermined period. For each cylinder, an average value per cylinder of the sum of the integrated values of all the cylinders is calculated. For each cylinder, an error between the integrated value of the cylinder and the average value is calculated. For each cylinder, the output of the engine is controlled in accordance with the error calculated for the cylinder such that variations in the output between the cylinders are suppressed.

摘要: In an object-detecting system using an FM-CW wave, points f1 to f4 corresponding to detection peaks of a reflected wave from a road-side object such as guardrail and points m1 and m2 corresponding to detection peaks of a reflected wave from a moving object such as a reflector of a preceding vehicle are indicated on two-dimensional coordinates along with the shape of a road ahead of a subject vehicle. Among the points f1 to f4, m1 and m2, the points f1 to f4 are determined as being provided by the reflected wave from the road-side object, and a distance from the subject vehicle to the object and a speed of the subject vehicle relative the object are calculated using the remaining points m1 and m2 excluding the points f1 to f4. Thus, only the moving object except the road-side object can be detected.

摘要: A control system is disclosed that accelerates the rise in temperature of a catalyst provided in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. The system increases the intake air amount after the engine starts and retards the ignition timing according to a rotational speed of the engine. In this control system, a failure of the catalyst temperature rise acceleration control is diagnosed according to the engine rotational speed and/or a retard amount of the ignition timing during the execution of the catalyst temperature rise acceleration control. The above failure may also be diagnosed according to at least one of the ignition timing and the engine rotational speed when decreasing the intake air amount during the execution of the catalyst temperature rise acceleration control. The above failure may also be diagnosed according to a detected catalyst temperature and an estimated catalyst temperature.

摘要: When a leakage fault occurs in the evaporated fuel processing system of a fuel tank, a control system reliably prevents leakage of the evaporated fuel from the point where the leakage fault has occurred. The fuel tank and a canister are connected to each other via a charge passage having a bypass valve, and the canister and an intake passage of an engine are connected to each other via a purge passage having a purge control valve. When a leakage fault occurs in the fuel tank (or the charge passage upstream of the bypass valve), the bypass valve and the purge control valve are opened and an atmosphere release control valve provided on the canister, is closed. The closure of the atmosphere release control valve stops the negative intake pressure of the engine from being consumed by the intake of air through the atmosphere release control valve, and thus it is possible to efficiently prevent the evaporated fuel from leaking from the point where the leakage fault has occurred by effectively transmitting the negative intake pressure to the point where the leakage fault has occurred.

摘要: In order to effectively perform on/off control for an air-conditioning system carried on an automobile during idling operation of the automobile, if a state, in which a difference between a target idling number of revolution and a net idling number of revolution is larger than a preset difference value, is continued for a preset period of time, then an electromagnetic clutch is disconnected, and a compressor is allowed to be in an operation stop state. After that, if the difference is smaller than the preset difference value, and a state, in which the difference is smaller than the preset difference value, is continued for a preset period of time, then the electromagnetic clutch is connected, and the compressor is restored to be in an operating state. By doing so, it is possible to previously avoid the occurrence of vibration of the vehicle body due to vibration of the engine, and the occurrence of booming noise in the vehicle's cabin caused by the vibration. The air-conditioning system is automatically restored to be in the operating state when it is judged that the state of the engine is restored. Therefore, the convenience of use of the air-conditioning system is improved.

摘要: A camera whose body is wound with a belt-like protective cover having an end detachably held by pin members thereon in such a manner as to cover a wall surface thereof. The protective cover is operative to cover and protects at least a photographing lens, a distance measuring or range finder window and a stroboscopic window. Thus, the camera is put into an enclosed state. Further, the enclosed state, in which the protective cover is wound around the body of the camera, is maintained by fitting a magnet hook attached to the other end of the protective cover into another magnet hook attached to the body of the camera and making these magnet hooks attracted to each other. Moreover, when putting the camera into a ready-to-photograph state, the protective cover is unwound by removing the magnet hooks from each other and opening the photographing lens and so on.
