摘要： A twist lock for connecting containers comprises a housing integrally formed with an upper fitting part and a lower fitting part each being capable of fitting into a fitting hole in a corner fitting of a container, a spindle inserted in the housing in a rotatable and vertically displaceable manner, an upper lock connected to the top end of the spindle and being engageable with the fitting hole in the corner fitting of the container, and a lower lock being in positional agreement with and fixed securly to the lower fitting part of the housing and slidably fitted with a plurality of locking members which can engage with and disengage from the fitting hole in the corner fitting of the container. In this twist lock, the spindle is urged by a spring member in such a direction that the upper lock can engage with the fitting hole in the corner fitting of the container, while each of the locking members is urged by another spring member in such a direction that it can retract into the lower lock. When the spindle locates at a lowered position, the locking members contact the spindle and project from the lower lock against the urging force of the spring means, thereby engaging with the fitting hole in the corner fitting of the container to prevent the release of the lower lock. When the spindle locates at a raised position, the locking members lose contact with the spindle and retract into the lower lock by the urging force of the spring means, thereby disengaging from the fitting hole in the corner fitting of the container to permit the release of the lower lock.

摘要： A shift lock apparatus which allows a shift interlock wire and a key interlock wire to be arranged more effectively and neatly within the vehicle body. A lock pin engages with a first engagement portion perpendicularly each other. The shift interlock wire is linked with the first engagement portion and moves as a shift lever is locked or unlocked. The lock pin is moved by a brake pedal when the brake pedal is released. When a key inserted into a key cylinder is rotated from an ACC position to a LOCK position, the key interlock wire moves to establish engagement with a second engagement portion. Both wires intersect each other, and also the lock pin and the wire intersect each other, thereby providing secure operation and a shorter and neater layout of wires when a housing is installed within the interior of the vehicle.

摘要： A picture reading apparatus is disclosed which comprises a camera which converts a picture to be read to an electric signal, a supporting member for supporting the camera movably, and a voice input unit. A control device serves to minimize the output from the voice input unit during movement of the supporting member. Thus while a mechanism for moving the camera is in operation, the output from the voice input unit is minimized to suppress the output of operational noise. Video output is inhibited during camera movement.

Previously determined allocation policies are stored in memory along with system status data, control data and an evalution of the effectiveness of the allocation policy. During the operation of the system, the status is detected and an allocation policy is retrieved from memory based on the detected status. The allocation policy is then modified and sent to the scheduler. The effect of modifying the allocation policy is detected and an evaluation of the modified allocation policy is stored in memory. Inferior allocation policies are deleted from memory.
