摘要： A ventilating system for an outboard motor having a water propulsion device and an internal combustion engine positioned in a cowling, the engine having an output shaft arranged to drive the water propulsion device, is disclosed. The ventilating system includes an air inlet in the cowling which permits air to flow into an engine compartment in which the engine is positioned, and an exhaust port positioned in the cowling. The system also includes a mechanism for drawing air through the inlet into the compartment and expelling air out of the compartment through the exhaust port after the engine has stopped.

摘要： A numerical control machining apparatus, having a section for reading out and analyzing machining programs from a storage section to control the axis drive section of a machine tool, also can display the quantity and direction of movement for each axis on a display section. The axis movement is identified by symbols that reflect a pre-set correspondence between the direction of movement instruction to each axis of the machine tool and the direction of the actual movement of each axis of the machine tool seen by an operator. That correspondence is stored beforehand when an operator inputs instructions for the various movements of the axes and the operator examines the machine's response and identifies a symbol that corresponds to that response, such as an arrow whose orientation corresponds to an observed movement direction. Thereafter, when the programmed operation is conducted, the presence or absence of axis movement, the quantity and the direction thereof as seen by the operator is determined and, on the basis of the previously input data, an axis movement symbol creation section selects from storage the visual symbols that respectively match the direction etc. of the movement of each axis. These symbols are displayed on the display section to indicate the current position of each axis, and the direction of the actual movement of each axis as seen by the operator.

摘要： A marine propulsion system and particularly an outboard motor wherein the outboard motor is provided with a control for preventing engine damage in response to an abnormal condition by reducing the speed of the engine through disabling certain cylinders. The cylinders disabled are chosen on the vertical position of the cylinder in the engine so as to provide improved running and avoid undesirable results. In addition, the disabling of the cylinders is precluded until the abnormal condition has existed more than a predetermined time period upon initial start-up so as to permit unencumbered normal warm up of the engine.

摘要： A secret communication control apparatus used to effect secret communication with communication equipment, for example, facsimile equipment, which transmits picture information by use of public communication lines. When a communication control code that is utilized to set a communication mode is to be transmitted, the intervention of the secret communication control apparatus in the communication is suspended by switching a change-over switch, so that the main body of the local communication equipment and the remote communication equipment perform direct transmission of the communication control code therebetween without passing it through the secret communication control apparatus. It is therefore possible to transmit the signal in the minimized time, that is, in the same way as in the case of ordinary, nonsecret communication.

摘要： An oil strainer comprises upper and lower partial bodies, made of synthetic resin, joined together to form a roughly tube-shaped strainer main body, the interior of which is provided with a filter. The oil strainer has a flange section for attachment with bolts, and the flange section is provided with at least one bolt hole which passes through the interior of the roughly tube-shaped strainer main body. With this structure, it is possible to provide an oil strainer which can be installed on a small installation surface, which is able to reduce resin fatigue, and which can prevent impairment of the seal due to loosening of installation members.

摘要： The electrical junction box has a case, which accommodates a printed circuit board provided in a lower side of the case. The case also receives an electrical wiring circuit and a busbar circuit disposed in an upper side of the case so as to be parallel to the printed circuit board. Wiring harness connectors are mounted on a side wall of the case, and relay connectors are positioned on the side wall or another side wall of the case. The side walls are perpendicular to the printed circuit board. The wiring harness connectors are connected to inner circuits including the printed circuit, the busbar circuit, and the electrical wiring circuit. The case has a top cover, a bottom cover, and a horizontal intermediate partition. The intermediate partition is provided with the electrical wire circuit on an under surface of the partition so as to be opposed to the printed circuit. The upper surface of the intermediate partition is provided with the busbar circuit.

摘要： The present invention provides a channel housing comprising curving channels whereby complex and varied channels can be compactly contained. Plural curving channels that must be connected to plural valves, for example, are formed by partitioning walls forming curving channels inside a pair of symmetrical housing halves, which are then bonded together to form the complex channel system. The housing halves may be joined by welding or adhesive bonding. To improve the bonding strength, a pair of opposing channel members is provided along the length of the contacting members that are welded or bonded. The cavity formed by the opposing channel members D, D is then filled with an adhesive resin M to integrate the two halves.
