Abstract:
Disclosed is a secondary battery, which comprises a cylindrically wound laminate consisting of a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and a separator plate interposed therebetween, the negative electrode plate including an electrolytically active substance, a perforated support plate for supporting the electrolytically active substance and serving as an electron collector, the electrolytically active substance being applied to both side surfaces of the support plate, a protective can for enclosing the cylindrically wound laminate, and an electrolyte, wherein the perforation density of the perforated support plate is made greater in the outer portions more than in the central portion, so that the binding forces between the support plate and the electrolytically active substance become substantially uniform throughout the support plate and the conductivity of the support plate is considerably increased.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for making a shadow mask for a color picture tube. First, a flat AK steel plate is pressed to form an AK steel shadow mask. And then, the AK steel shadow mask is surrounded with minute metal particles and is heated in a neutral or reduction heating furnace, thereby forming an alloy layer on a surface of the AK steel shadow mask.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device having a pair of substrate assemblies and a pattern of electrodes that define active and inactive areas of the display. Spacer elements are disposed only in inactive areas of the display to maintain a uniform predetermined cell gap between the substrate assemblies for the liquid crystal material. Some of the spacers are adhesive to provide shock resistance for the device.
Abstract:
In a method forming a phosphor layer on a screen panel, the black matrix is made of a conductive material. The conductive black matrix is formed by a wet-layer photoconductive method. That is, an organic conductive layer is initially deposited on the screen panel, then an organic photoconductive material is formed on the organic conductive layer. The plotoconductive layer is charged to a positive or negative potential and a selective area of the organic photoconductive layer is exposed to light radiated from an exposure device, such that the potential can be left on the unexposed area where the black matrix will be deposited. Finally, the conductive black matrix material is deposited on the unexposed area.
Abstract:
A secondary battery has a cylindrically wound laminate made up of a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator plate interposed therebetween. The wound laminate is enclosed within a protective can, which also encloses a volume of electrolyte. The negative electrode plate includes a support member, an electrolytically active substance disposed on at least one surface of the support member, and a supplementary support embedded in the electrolytically active substance. The supplementary support is in the form of an electrically conductive network formed from a plurality of entangled and interconnected conductive members, and is used to improve the electrical conductivity of negative electrode.
Abstract:
Styrene-acrylic copolymer is used as an organic binder, fluorenone derivative is used as an electron receptor and tetraphenylbutadiene derivative is used as an electron donor to produce a color display panel which has a low decomposition temperature, a high electron transferring ability and a charge maintenance ability to manufacture a color display panel without a change of brightness and color coordinates in a fluorescent screen.
Abstract:
A directly heated cathode structure includes at least one porous pellet containing electron emission material and filaments secured to at least three side surfaces of the porous pellet to support the pellet stably and prevent vibration caused by shock and potential deformation. Each filament is supported by an insulating block and more than one pellet may be mounted on a single insulating block. As a result, a highly reliable cathode ray tube can be manufactured.
Abstract:
A field emission display having a diamond thin film having a low work function due to its affinity for electrons used for forming a micro-tip. Electron emitting micro-tips are manufactured using diamond or diamond-like carbon which have a low work function due to their affinity for electrons, and thereby facilitate electron emission at a very low gate voltage. Manufacturing a flat micro-tip allows uniform tips to be formed so that a large device can be easily fabricated.
Abstract:
An input/output signal transmitting stylus includes an external case, a cylindrical body within the external case, a pickup rod partially within the cylindrical body and for outputting a signal, a transducer connected with the pickup rod for actuating a switching operation, a transducer operated by the transducer actuator, a circuit substrate for interfacing a signal input by the pickup rod, and spring within the cylindrical body and engaging the pickup rod enabling the pickup rod to reciprocate linearly within the external case and cylindrical body. The cylindrical body includes opposite front and rear walls and the pickup rod includes a disk disposed between the first and second walls so that the movement of the pickup rod is limited in two directions. Therefore, the pressure applied to the transducer is limited. The cylindrical body provides protection to the spring by preventing the intrusion of foreign matter extending the lifetime of the stylus.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an electron gun cathode for CRTs including a sleeve, on which a cap having an electromagnetic radiation matter applied on its upper face, is fixed. A sleeve supporter that supports and is merged with this sleeve is inserted in the holder and, thus, securely fixed. Also, a number of through holes are formed in the circumference of the holder.
