Abstract: A spinal decompression device incorporating mechanisms allowing a healthcare provider or other user to prescribe one or several maximum spinal elongation limits before and during the course of a spinal decompression treatment. The degree of spinal elongation is limited by the range of motion of a lower portion of the treatment bed in relation to the upper portion of the treatment bed. The device allows a healthcare provider to prescribe patient specific spinal elongation profiles which may be tailored according to a patient's presentation at the time of treatment and also according to results from previous spinal decompression treatments.

Abstract: A finger exerciser includes: a frame on which a palm of a subject to be put; a movable section; a first fixing element; and a second fixing element. The movable is configured to move a first finger group of a subject. The first fixing element is configured to fix a position of the first finger group to the movable section. The second fixing element is configured to fix a position of a second finger group to the frame and has a band-like member including at least two attachment parts apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the band-like member. The band-like member is attached to the frame at the attachment parts and includes a holder whose location to the frame is changeable. The band-like member is configured to hold the second finger group in a state where the band-like member is attached to the frame.

Abstract: The invention relates to a medical respiratory assistance apparatus for delivering a respiratory gas such as air, which may or may not be enriched with oxygen, to a patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), having a source (1) of respiratory gas, for example a micro-blower, for delivering a respiratory gas to said patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and means (4) for measuring the CO2 content, signal-processing and control means (5), and at least one graphical user interface (7). According to the invention, the signal-processing and control means (5) process the CO2 content measurement signals, to select the maximum CO2 content value (Vmax) during a given time period (dt), and to transmit this maximum value (Vmax) to the graphical user interface (7), which displays this maximum CO2 content value (Vmax).

Abstract: A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.

Abstract: An oral irrigator including a reservoir, a tip in fluid communication with the reservoir, a pump in fluid communication with the tip and the reservoir, where the motor drives the pump. The oral irrigator also includes a control module electrically coupled to the motor to vary an output of the motor. During a normal mode, the control module drives the motor to output a normal pulse rate, a normal flow rate, and a normal fluid pressure as the fluid exits the tip and during a massage mode, the control module drives the motor to output a massage pulse rate, a massage flow rate, and a massage fluid pressure as the fluid exits the tip. The massage pulse rate is lower than the normal pulse rate, the massage fluid pressure is lower than the normal fluid pressure, and the massage fluid pressure is lower than the normal fluid pressure.

Abstract: An irrigating device including a massage mode module in communication with a motor driving a pump. During a normal mode the pump has a first pulse rate and during massage mode the massage mode module provides a massage control signal to the motor to cause the pump to have a second pulse rate. In other embodiments, the disclosure includes an oral irrigator including a base and a reservoir removably connected to the base. The oral irrigator further includes a prow operably connected to the base and extending vertically upwards from the base. The prow may extend in a similar direction as sidewalls of the reservoir. The oral irrigator further includes a lid rotatably connected to the prow. The lid rotates between a first position where a fluid cavity of the reservoir is exposed to a second position where the lid covers at least a portion of the fluid cavity.
