摘要: The present disclosure relates to an orthosis device for providing motor movement to a body part. The device comprises a plurality of sensors to sense a first set of motion signals, a control unit, at least one actuator, and a support structure. The support structure comprises a guide structure comprising a plurality of wires. The control unit generates a second set of motion signals and provides the same to the at least one actuator. The at least one actuator generates a force for movement of the plurality of wires of the guide structure of the support structure. The movement of the plurality of wires help in motor movement of the body part.

摘要: A therapeutic bracelet includes a strip of elastomeric material that defines an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a plurality of finger holes extending through the strip. The strip of elastomeric material is configured to be positioned over an operative hand of a user and to be worn around a wrist of the user. Upon periodic removal of the therapeutic bracelet from the wrist, the user inserts one or more digits in the finger holes from the interior surface and stretches the therapeutic bracelet with a thumb of the operative hand or with an opposite hand. A method of using the therapeutic bracelet to alternately strengthen and stretch the operative hand is also provided. The bracelet may also be used for supporting the wrist in an ergonomically correct position; and, when turned inside out, for massaging sore or injured muscles.

摘要: A wrist joint actuating structure of a hand rehabilitation device includes a palm orthosis body, a forearm orthosis body and a joint unit. The palm orthosis body includes a plurality of finger support rods and a thumb support rod. The joint unit is a universal joint and is connected between the palm orthosis body and the forearm orthosis body. The palm orthosis body can be turned an angle relative to the forearm orthosis body through actuation of the joint unit according to the bending degree of a user's wrist joint. A tension adjustment unit includes elastic members connected to the finger support rods and the thumb support rod. According to the different stretching tensions required by the fingers or the thumb for rehabilitation, the respective lengths of the other ends of the elastic members to be pressed by a fixing seat are adjustable, so as to adjust different stretching tensions.

摘要: In a hand exoskeleton device, according to a three-layered sliding spring mechanism, the motion of the device is changed by a single drive mechanism to transmit power to the metacarpophalangeal, proximal and distal interphalangeal joints of a human finger, thereby enabling support of the daily activity motions of the finger. According to the hand exoskeleton device, when compared with a conventional device, there can be realized a device which is small in size and weight and is capable of supporting the gripping motions of the human finger. The hand exoskeleton device is characterized in that the three joints of the finger can be bent and extended by the single drive mechanism and it can transmit large drive power. Further, the device body is flexible, thereby enabling safe movement.

The wearable hand rehabilitation device could help the users to do their hand or finger rehabilitation. The wearable hand rehabilitation apparatus includes a thumb mechanism, three finger mechanisms and a pinky finger mechanism. These mechanisms could make the user's fingers bent or straightened. And the wearable hand rehabilitation apparatus could reduce the physical damage of the users during the period of doing rehabilitation with the present invention.

摘要: A method for treating patients with sensor agnosia is described that uses a gaming system with a specialised two handed game controller that can provide isolated haptic feedback to the patient's hand that has the greatest sensory agnosia. The controller is designed to be easy to use for patients with limited dexterity and requires the user to use both hands to control the controller. The gaming system provides a range of interactive computer games that provide contextually relevant haptic feedback of varying durations and intensities. Haptic feedback is provided in response to events in a game, and whilst the controller requires two hands, each hand is vibrationally isolated so that haptic feedback is only provided to the desired hand. The system logs usage statistics of the patient and these can be sent back to a clinician for analysis. The system and controller is particularly suitable for children with Cerebral Palsy, but may be used to treat patients with sensory agnosia due to range of conditions.

摘要: A finger assist device is formed by rotatably connecting a plurality of units in a finger bending direction and a finger spreading direction. The unit is worn on a finger by nipping the finger with a nipping part from the pad and the back of the finger, and a drive force is controlled by detecting a first contact force between the finger pad and the nipping part and a second contact force between the finger back and the nipping part. Since the intention of the wearer of the finger assist device appears in the first contact force and the second contact force, the drive force of the finger assist device is appropriately controlled according to the wearer's intention, and thereby, bending and spreading of the finger may be appropriately assisted.

摘要: The present teachings provide for an exercise device for exercising a joint and a limb. The device includes an actuator, a foot plate, a foot plate load cell, and a restrictor. The actuation member is rotatable about a rotation axis. The actuation member includes a first portion and a second portion that is movable in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis. The foot plate is at a distal end of the second portion of the actuation member. The foot plate load cell is mounted to the foot plate and is configured to measure force exerted on the foot plate. The restrictor is configured to restrict movement of the second portion of the actuation member and the foot plate at the distal end thereof in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis unless force exerted on the foot plate exceeds a predetermined force.

摘要: This application discloses a portable exercise device for flexibility and strengthening. In some embodiments, the device is comprised of one elastic band of surgical tubing or like material and one non-elastic band, with two pairs of looped handles tied to each end of the elastic band. These looped handles can attach to a user's limb without any need for grasping. The non-elastic end of the device can be affixed to an anchor point. The exercise device offers light but adjustable resistance via a resistance modulator, allowing the user to engage in a full range of standing and seated exercises with forces comparable to swimming. In addition, two instances of the device can be combined to engage both the user's hands and feet simultaneously.
