Abstract:
A filter device includes a housing with an end part and a side wall and containing an axially arranged array of filter elements, such as ceramic elements. An inlet in the end part supplies fluid to the filter elements and an outlet in the side wall is provided for transporting filtered fluid from the housing, the side wall of the filter device being provided with a cleaning duct for supplying cleaning fluid to the filter elements via the side wall. The cleaning duct 6 includes a distal channel portion 15 having a relatively small diameter D1 and a proximal portion 16 adjacent the side wall having a relatively large diameter D2. A number of partitions 36, 37 extend in the proximal portion from a position at or near the sidewall towards the distal channel portion 15 at an angle (β) to a centre line 20 of the cleaning duct 6.
Abstract:
A traveling screen machine having an active screen section arranged transverse to the flow direction of a liquid stream is suggested, wherein the endless screen belt is formed as an endless screen belt that is flexibly foldable, compressible or bendable transverse to its direction of movement.
Abstract:
A fluid filter includes a filter element having a filtering media disposed between two endplates. One endplate includes an open flow passage that allows a working fluid to flow into or out of the media during operation. The other endplate includes a connection structure. A cover houses the filter element, and has an opening that is an inlet or outlet in fluid communication with the opening of the one endplate. The cover includes another fill opening proximate the other endplate. A cap is connected to the connection structure of the other endplate to close the opening of the cover. The cover is retained between the cap and other endplate. Generally, the attachment configuration between the cap and the other endplate of the filter element helps ensure that the filter element with the correct micron rating is installed in a filtration system.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filtering device for fluids, comprising a filter housing (I). At least one filtering element (9) which is in the form of a filter cartridge and which defines a longitudinal axis (11) can be received in said filter housing. The filter cartridge has an end cap (17) on at least one end, said end cap fanning an enclosure for the corresponding end edge of the filtering material (23, 35). The end cap can be fixed on an element receiving means (13), which interacts with the bottom part (5) of the filter housing (1), in order to fix the position of the filtering element (9) in the functional position thereof. The element receiving means forms a fluid path for the cleaned fluid exiting the filtering hollow chamber (19) of the filtering element (9). The filtering device is characterized in that the element receiving moms (13) contains a valve arrangement (55) which blocks the fluid path (35), and in that a control device (79, 83) which releases the valve arrangement (55) in the functional position is provided on the end cap (17) of the filtering element (9), said end cap being fixed on the element receiving means (13).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter element (1) for filtering fluids, such as hydraulic fluids or gases, the filter element (1) being accommodatable in a filter housing (12), having an inlet point (18) for the fluid to he filtered and an outlet point (20) for the filtered fluid, the filter element (1) comprising a data storage (52), data stored in the data storage (52) being electronically readable from the data storage (52) by means of a read and/or write device (70), characterized in that an antenna (60) extending outside the data storage (52) is provided for the signal coupling between the data storage (52) and the read and/or write device (70), and that the antenna (60) extends at least in sections about a longitudinal axis (44) of the filter element (1) and thus, independently from the angular position of the filter element (1) and the data storage (52) attached thereto, a signal coupling between the data storage (52) and the read and/or write device (70) is ensured. The invention further relates to a filter device (10) having such a filter element (1).
Abstract:
A fluid filter assembly having a relief valve for visually indicating when a filter element may be replaced. The fluid filter assembly of the present invention provides a vertical, transparent housing having a fluid inlet for communicating a fluid into the housing and a fluid outlet for communicating fluid downstream of the housing. A filter element is disposed within the housing between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet for filtering the fluid. The relief valve can also be in the form of a more restrictive filter media 42.
Abstract:
An externally powered, self cleaning strainer incorporating a projectile shield, which is capable of operating for an extended period of time. A suitably shaped, motor driven, impeller creates a localized, radially outward flow of fluid in the vicinity of the strainer inlet. The projectile shield has a lower surface shaped to deflect fluid to the strainer at a constant velocity, enabling the impeller to eject debris more efficiently. Maintaining a constant flow through the strainer also avoids additional head loss associated with accelerating flow. The self cleaning strainer may also include a brush attached diametrically opposite to the impeller to aid in removing debris from the inlet side of the strainer. The impeller may also be shaped so that when it is swept past the inlet side of the strainer, it causes a localized, reverse flow through the strainer, thereby removing debris particles from within the strainer.
Abstract:
A dust collector is disposed between an intake port and an exhaust port in a vacuum cleaner. Air flows from the intake port into the exhaust port along an airflow path in the dust collector. The dust collector includes a dust-collecting net disposed in the path, and a dust-brushing unit. When air flows from the intake port into the exhaust port, a plurality of dust brushes of the dust-brushing unit rotate to brush the net so as to remove dust from the net. Therefore, air can flow unimpeded through the net.
