摘要: An elevator brake for braking and holding an elevator car in an elevator installation, and a method for returning and subsequently holding the elevator brake in a standby position, includes a first actuation device for actuating a first brake lining. The first actuation device includes an electromagnetic holding and catch device that holds an energy store, in the form of a spring accumulator, in a loaded state and releases the energy store when required. The electromagnetic holding and catch device includes a plurality of electromagnets that act directly or indirectly on the energy store by a lever distribution. The electromagnetic holding and catch device alternatively, or additionally, can include a traction device that holds the first brake lining in the standby position. The traction device is looped around a bollard or capstan and held at a free end by at least one electromagnet.

摘要: The invention relates to an elevator comprising a hoistway; an elevator car vertically movable in the hoistway; at least one rope connected to the car; a rotatable traction member comprising a circumferential traction surface for each of the at least one rope; each of the at least one rope passing around the rotatable traction member and having a front side surface resting against a circumferential traction surface of the traction member, the front side surface and/or the traction surface of the rotatable traction member being made of material comprising polymer; and a drive machinery for controlling rotation of the rotatable traction member; and activatable pressing means for pressing the at least one rope against the circumferential traction surface of the traction member which comprise a pressing shoe mounted on the back side of and out of contact with the rope section of each of said at least one rope, which rope section rests against the rotatable traction member, the pressing shoe being movable towards the back side surface of said rope section; and actuating means activatable to move the pressing shoe towards the back side surface of said rope section such that the pressing shoe moves into contact with and presses the rope section against the circumferential traction surface of the traction member; and activating means for activating the actuating means to move the pressing shoe towards the back side surface of said rope section.

摘要: An elevator system includes a hoistway and an elevator car suspended in the hoistway via a suspension member and drivable along the hoistway. The elevator car includes an elevator car panel and a battery pocket positioned in the elevator car panel. A battery is removably positioned in the battery pocket. The battery and the battery pocket are configured such that inspection, maintenance and/or repair of the battery is performed without entry into the hoistway of the elevator system. A method of servicing an elevator system includes driving an elevator car along a hoistway and stopping the elevator car near a selected elevator landing floor. A battery is at least partially removed from a battery pocket at the elevator car via a technician located at the selected elevator landing floor for inspection, maintenance, replacement and/or repair.

The overspeed governor comprises a governor sheave, a permanent magnet rotor coupled to the governor sheave, a stator arranged to interact with the permanent magnet rotor, a safety gear for braking movement of an elevator car and a safety rope fixed to the safety gear and arranged to run via the governor sheave. Said stator includes a winding adapted to exert, when energized, to the permanent magnet rotor a braking force that brakes movement of the permanent magnet rotor and, consequently, movement of the governor sheave and the safety rope, thereby activating the safety gear.

The braking system includes a brake member for coupling to the hoisted structure and having a brake surface configured to frictionally engage the guide rail, the brake member moveable between a braking position and a non-braking position. Further included is a brake member actuation mechanism operatively coupled to the brake member and configured to actuate the brake member from the non-braking position to the braking position, the brake member actuation mechanism remaining coupled to the brake member in the braking position to control the braking force applied on the hoisted structure by the frictional engagement between the guide rail and the brake member.

摘要: A servicing device for a belt of an elevator system is provided including a housing and a guide member coupled to the housing. The guide member and the housing are disposed on opposite sides of the belt. At least one reservoir is disposed within the housing. The at least one reservoir contains one or more restoring materials. An applicator is configured to apply the one or more restoring materials to an adjacent surface of the belt. Application of the one or more restoring materials is configured to modify the geometry of the belt such that the modified geometry is substantially identical to the original geometry of the belt.
