    摘要: A valve for a fuel supply of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The valve may have a valve housing that defines a channel in fluid communication with an inert gas supply line at a first end of the valve housing. The valve housing may also have a first flange disposed at a second end distal to the first end. The valve may have a valve body that selectively allow the channel of the valve housing to communicate with an inner bore of a double-walled connecting element of the fuel supply system. The valve housing may also have a second flange disposed adjacent to the first flange. The first flange and the second flange define a detection gap therebetween. The second flange may have a passage in fluid communication with a detection space of the double-walled connecting element and the detection gap.

    摘要: A system includes an ignition detection module, a pressure sensor, a pressure variation module, and a pressure sensor diagnostic module. The ignition detection module detects when an engine is started. The pressure sensor generates a first pressure signal indicating a first pressure within a fuel system of the engine when the engine is started and when a purge valve of the fuel system is closed. The pressure variation module determines an amount of variation in the first pressure signal over a first period. The pressure sensor diagnostic module determines a state of the pressure sensor based on the amount of variation in the first pressure signal over the first period.

    摘要: A dual fuel system for an internal combustion engine includes a gaseous fuel subsystem and a liquid fuel subsystem. A plurality of fuel injectors each define a gaseous fuel passage fluidly connected to a gaseous fuel manifold of the gaseous fuel subsystem, a liquid fuel passage fluidly connected to a liquid fuel manifold of the liquid fuel subsystem, and a liquid fuel leak path from the liquid fuel passage to the gaseous fuel passage. A liquid fuel purging mechanism includes a drain conduit and at least one valve positioned fluidly between the drain conduit and the gaseous fuel manifold, and being adjustable to fluidly connect the drain conduit to the gaseous fuel manifold, to drain leaked liquid fuel to a low pressure outlet.

    摘要: A purge gas injection system for internal combustion engines is disclosed. The system comprises a purge gas container filled with a sufficient purge gas to interrupt the combustion cycle of the engine, equipped with a controllable flow device capable of initiating and terminating flow from the container upon demand, with tubing connected to the purge gas container to direct the purge gas to a nozzle mounted on the combustion air intake of the engine. The system can be operated whenever the undesired conditions of dieseling or engine run-on are experienced and the operator of the engine may cause the purge gas to flow into the combustion air intake to defeat the undesirable run-on conditions.
