    摘要: A dual-fuel injection system having a combustion gas-supply device and a liquid fuel-supply device, including a combustion gas-injector unit with a liquid fuel-control part and a gas nozzle part, to which combustion gas can be supplied. The stroke of a gas nozzle needle of the combustion gas-injector unit can be controlled by liquid fuel supplied to the liquid fuel-control part. The combustion gas-injector unit defines a leakage collecting space, via which a leakage path is lead, the leakage path extending from the liquid fuel-control part into the gas nozzle part. The dual-fuel injection system has a pressure-regulating device, by which a defined pressure level can be set in the leakage collecting space. An implementation method using such a dual-fuel injection system is also proposed.

    摘要: This disclosure provides a system and method that eliminates the need for manually calibrating or adjusting a dual fuel internal combustion engine to compensate for variations in composition of a gaseous fuel or other variations, such as ambient or site conditions. The system and method functions by determining an engine load, determining an advantageous gaseous fuel substitution rate from the engine load and speed in addition to an actual gaseous fuel substitution rate, modifying the advantageous gaseous fuel substitution rate by a minimum liquid fuel flow rate, engine protection parameters, and oxidation catalyst protection parameters, and then determining an error term in response to the modified advantageous gaseous fuel substitution rate and the actual gaseous fuel substitution rate. The error term is used to adjust a gaseous fuel control valve.

    摘要: A fuel control system for a multiple fuel internal combustion engine may include at least one cylinder pressure sensor associated with each cylinder of the engine. A data collection module may be configured to receive real-time cylinder pressure measurements from each of the at least one cylinder pressure sensors and calculate one or more actual combustion parameter values from the real-time cylinder pressure measurements. A comparison module may be configured to receive the calculated one or more actual combustion parameter values from the data collection module and compare the calculated one or more actual combustion parameter values for each cylinder to reference combustion parameter values to determine any difference therebetween, wherein the reference combustion parameter values are the same for each of the cylinders. A process control module may be configured to control fuel injection of at least two different types of fuel supplied to each cylinder in order to reduce any difference between the calculated actual combustion parameter values for each cylinder and the reference combustion parameter values.
