The leak catching apparatus may include a plate having a first section, a center section, and a second section, wherein the first section is non-coplanar with the second section; an absorbent material housed on the first section; one or more absorbent material attachments coupled to the first section to secure the absorbent material to the first section; and one or more plate attachments coupled to the first section and the second section, wherein the one or more plate attachments temporarily secures the first section and the second section to a sealed system that contains liquid.

摘要: A lubrication system comprises a lubricant reservoir, a motorized pump, a follower plate, a stationary rod, a movable sleeve, and a flexible connection. The motorized pump is disposed to pump fluid from the lubricant reservoir to lubricant work lines. The follower plate is situated within the lubricant reservoir. The stationary rod has a colored indicator portion. The movable sleeve disposed concentrically about the stationary rod. The flexible connection extends between the follower plate and the stationary colored rod, such that the flexible connection pulls the movable sleeve away from the stationary rod to reveal the colored indicator portion as the follower plate drops towards a bottom of the lubricant reservoir.

摘要: A linear transmission assembly having a lubricant recovery module is composed of a movable member having a chamber; a first oil wick inserted into the movable member and the chamber and having a first oil-absorbable portion and a first oil-dischargeable portion; an oil tank mounted to the movable member and having an oil room for storage of lubricating oil; a second oil wick mounted to the oil tank and having a second oil-absorbable portion and a second oil-dischargeable portion, the former of which extends into the oil room for contact with the lubricating oil and the latter of which reaches the chamber; and a third oil wick having a third oil-absorbable portion and a third oil-dischargeable portion, the former of which reaches the chamber and the latter of which does not contact the lubricating oil. Thus, the lubricating can be prevented from overspill and staining the linear transmission device.

摘要: An apparatus for preventing lubricating oil from rising to the working spaces of a Stirling engine has a first and a second oil-absorbing member disposed within a cylindrical member in which a rod reciprocates. The first oil-absorbing member is secured to the rod with its outer periphery in sliding contact with the inner wall of the cylindrical member, and the second oil-absorbing member is secured to the cylindrical member with its inner periphery in sliding contact with the rod. A first baffle plate having a hole which is larger than the rod is secured to the cylindrical member immediately below and in intimate contact with the second oil-absorbing member. The first baffle plate makes the flow speed of gas through the second oil-absorbing member higher from above to below than from below to above. As a result, oil is continually blown downwards by a blast of accelerated gas and is returned to the crankcase of the engine.

摘要: An oil pan and windage tray reduce friction loss by separating the oil collection volume of the pan from rotating engine components. A skimmer integral with the tray skims oil from rotating parts and channels oil thrown from the rotating parts into a side pouch of the pan for delivery to the pan collection volume. The skimmer and tray mount to the engine separately from the pan. An alternate embodiment of a dry sump pan has a removable partition between a side pouch and the rotating parts and a skimmer separate from the pan. Separating the skimmer from the pan permits easy adjustment of the space between the skimmer and the rotating parts of the engine without obstruction from the pan.

摘要: A lubricant wiper of the type used to wipe lubricant from a rotating member has a curved wiping surface and is pivotally mounted adjacent to the rotating member in such a manner that the curved wiping surface of the wiper is maintained by gravity in contact with the side of said rotating member to wipe lubricant therefrom. In the preferred embodiment, the wiper is pivotally mounted on a support and has a center of gravity to the opposite side of the pivot point from the curved wiping surface. The support also carries a trough to collect and transport the lubricant wiped from the rotating member.
