摘要： Relationship information is previously generated and stored by learning based on camera motion estimation information expressing motion of a video camera, which is detected by a desired image signal picked up by the video camera, and camera motion information expressing physical motion of the video camera, which was obtained by a sensor for detecting physical motion at the same time when the desired image signal was picked up by the video camera. Camera motion estimation information with respect to an inputted image signal is detected from the inputted image signal. Camera motion prediction information with respect to the inputted image signal is generated, based on the camera motion estimation information detected and the relationship information. Based on the camera motion prediction information, a vibration signal for vibrating an object is generated. As a result, vibration data can be easily generated at low costs, based on existing video assets.

摘要： There is provided a motion simulator comprising a platform mounted on a base, the platform being mounted by a multi directional swivel connection with first and second motion actuators situated proximate first and second sides of the platform. Each motion actuator comprises a motor, a shaft rotatably driven by the motor and a cam member mounted on the shaft. A roller is mounted on the cam member and is associated with a follower mounted on the platform, the arrangement being such that rotation of the shaft and the cam will cause the roller to move within the follower and cause vertical movement of the platform proximate the follower. The platform can thus move in a vertical plane and also have rotational movement about an axis extending longitudinally of the platform.

摘要： A linear actuator has reversible electric motors driving a screw-threaded shaft engaging a roller nut. A tubular housing attached to the nut has at its remote end an internal seating member and load securing lugs. An hydraulic shock absorber unit, providing linear deceleration, is normally held in its most relaxed condition between the seating member and an end of a spacer tube butting against the nut. When the nut is within the shock absorber stroke distance of the driven end of the shaft, the free end of the shaft compresses the shock absorber unit against the seating. When the nut is within shock absorber stroke distance of the free end of the shaft, a ring engages a stop collar, thereby holding the shock absorber body at a fixed distance from the free end of the shaft, and the spacer tube compresses the shock absorber unit. A centrifugal brake is provided on a drive coupling pulley, and restrains rotation of the shaft above a predetermined rate.

摘要： Apparatus for controlling the movement of an electronic image on a video display includes a base member, a seat for an operator, a support assembly for mounting the seat on the base member in facing relation to the video display, such that the seat can be tilted relative to the base member. Two handles project upwardly from the base member, adjacent respective opposed sides of the seat for being grasped by the operator in the seat to impart tilting movement thereto by shifting the weight of the operator in a direction corresponding to a desired directional movement of the image. A plurality of electrical switches are provided for sensing the tilting movement of the seat and for generating an electrical signal indicative thereof. Video game control circuitry is responsive to the discrete electrical signal for moving the electronic image in response to the tilting movement of the seat. The apparatus is particularly well-suited for use in connection with a flight simulation video game, whereby the video display is used to simulate the movements of an aircraft and the sensations experienced by an aircraft pilot during various movements of the aircraft.
