    摘要: The magnetic drive of an electromagnetic contactor comprises two spaced coils (10,11) having a coaxial bore in which an armature (14) is mounted for reciprocal movement between two end positions. A control slider (21) is disposed between the coils (10,11) with its two sides forming stops for the armature (14). When the armature (14) is changed over from one to the other end position, the slider is also changed over and limits, at the mid-position, the return movement of the armature (14) from the respective end position. In a contactor designed for tri-stable operation, undesired movement of the armature beyond the mid-position is avoided, which could otherwise lead to an inadvertent change-over of the armature (14) to the other end position. If the contactor is designed for monostable mid-position operation, oscillation of the armature (14) about the mid-position is prevented, so that this mid-position is stabilized.

    摘要: A bistable electrical contactor employs a one-piece permanent magnet plunger operating in conjunction with an aligned pole piece and a pair of oppositely-wound coils to afford pulse-operated bistable operation of the associated contacts. The coils are wound in opposition to provide respective opposite electromagnetic fields, one "aiding" and one "opposing" the inherent magnetic flux of the plunger. The plunger may be spring-biased toward one of its two bistable positions, typically the one in which the plunger is most remote from the pole piece. When an appropriate coil is briefly energized, the respective "aiding" or "opposing" force is respectively added to or subtracted from the inherent magnetic force of the plunger to cause the appropriate change of state. The pole piece is structured and positioned to facilitate interaction with the plunger. An adjustable stop arrangement minimizes bounce of resiliently-mounted contacts.

    摘要: A polarized relay with an electromagnetic drive comprises an electromagnetic yoke composed of a core wound with a coil and a yoke body, and having one end portion of one magnetic polarity and a pair of bifurcated end portions of the other magnetic polarity opposite to the one magnetic polarity. The bifurcated end portions are separated in opposition from each other. The one end portion of the yoke is disposed between the bifurcated end portions so as to cooperate to form a pair of working gaps. A movable block of a substantially C-like configuration incorporating a permanent magnet has two magnetic pole pieces which are disposed within the working gaps, respectively. Guide is provided for guiding the movable block in response to energization and deenergization of the coil so that the pole pieces are movable within the respective working gaps. A contact mechanism including movable contacts is mechanically coupled to the movable block to make or break circuit.

    摘要: A contactor includes a plurality of switches mechanically coupled to an actuator. The actuator is moveable between operational and tripped positions. Switches that are closed in the operational position are open in the tripped position, and vice versa. The actuator extends through a coil as a core. The coil moves the actuator when an input signal is applied to the coil. A first input circuit receives a power-up input signal to transition the contactor from a tripped position to an operational position. A second input circuit receives a trip signal to transition the contactor from the operational position to the tripped position. First and second switches, coupled to respective first and second ends of the coil, reverse the polarity of the coil each occurrence of the actuator being actuated in preparation for the coil to be energized and magnetically polarized in an opposite direction during a next subsequent actuation.

    摘要: An electromagnetic relay includes a contactor including a fixed contact and a movable contact, and an electromagnet device for moving the movable contact. The electromagnet device includes a coil generating a first magnetic flux by energization, a tubular body including a permanent magnet generating a second magnetic flux in a direction identical to a direction of the first magnetic flux and having a hollow extending in a center axis direction, a movable element disposed in the hollow of the tubular body and reciprocating in the center axis direction, and a yoke forming a magnetic circuit passing together with the movable element and the tubular body. The magnetic circuit allows at least one of the first and second magnetic fluxes to pass through the magnetic circuit. The electromagnet device is configured to, when the coil is energized, move the movable contact to a first position by attracting the movable element with the first magnetic flux and the second magnetic flux. The electromagnet device is configured to, when energization of the coil is suspended, move the movable contact to a second position different from the first position. This electromagnetic relay is easily designed and reduces power consumption at a low cost.

    摘要: An actuator to displace, for example a mirror, provides movement with at least two degrees of freedom by varying the currents in two electromagnets. A moving part includes a permanent magnet with a magnetic face constrained to move over a working area lying substantially in a first plane perpendicular to a direction of magnetization of the magnet. The electromagnets have pole faces lying substantially in a second plane closely parallel to the first plane, each pole face substantially filling a quadrant of the area traversed by the face of the moving magnet. An optical position sensor may direct a beam of radiation at the moving magnet through a central space between the electromagnets. The sizes of facets in a pupil mirror device may be made smaller in a peripheral region, but larger in a central region, thereby relaxing focusing requirements.
