Abstract:
A print media cartridge includes a housing assembly that defines a region in which a stack of print media sheets can be stored. A sheet transport mechanism is mounted in the housing assembly to feed the sheets from the housing assembly. An ink storage assembly is mounted on the housing assembly and defines at least one ink chamber in which ink can be received and an ink outlet in fluid communication with the, or each respective, ink chamber.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a refillable ink supply cartridge for a postcard printing camera system. The cartridge includes a pagewidth printhead having a series of holes etched on a back surface thereof for the supply of ink to a front surface of the printhead for subsequent ejection via a micro-electromechanical system. The cartridge also includes an elongate top molding piece and an elongate bottom molding piece configured to operatively receive the top molding piece to define a plurality of elongate ink reservoirs, said bottom molding piece supporting the printhead and having guide walls and block portions for arranging the ink reservoirs in fluid communication with the series of holes.
Abstract:
A portable terminal selectively includes either a camera unit which has an image pickup section and is formed with an engagement part or a cover unit formed with the same engagement part as the camera unit. An attachment part for engaging with the engagement part is provided in a main body of the portable terminal.
Abstract:
An operating device includes a connecting portion connectable to an external memory device storing operation data, an operation detecting portion that detects a positional change of the enclosure of the connected external memory device as an operation carried out on the external memory device, and an operation control portion that gives a command for executing a given action to an electronic equipment (image processing apparatus, etc.) according to the detection result. The above operation data is the data that presets a command for causing the electronic equipment to execute a specific action in correspondence to an operation on the external memory device. The operation control portion reads operation data out of the connected external memory device, and gives a command for executing a specific action to a main CPU of the electronic equipment based on an operation detected by the operation detecting portion and the read operation data.
Abstract:
A postcard generator includes an image capture device for capturing and storing an image. The postcard generator also stores a postcard format. The postcard generator receives a supply of print media and prints, using an in-built printer, a postcard having a printed image on one side and the postcard format on the other side. The postcard format includes an address zone and a token indicating that postage has been paid.
Abstract:
A versatile adaptor device to connect together devices having built-in connectors or receptacles for interfacing with other devices is described. Many devices include built-in connectors, which usually consist of proprietary fittings and pinouts/lineouts. The adaptor device connects with the built-in connectors of two devices to enable communication between the two devices. Each end of the adaptor fits physically and electrically with the connectors to join both devices. The body of the adaptor is a double-ended molded plastic part that includes geometry to mate with a particular connector slot at one end and another specific connector slot at the opposing end. The adaptor device may be adapted to connect various different types of devices. For example, the adaptor accommodates connection to an array of brands and models of cellular phone devices at one end of the adaptor and an array of digital cameras at the other end of the adaptor. The manufacture of the adaptors is leveraged because the adaptor employs a minimum common denominator set of circuit lines available to interact with multiple different connectors.
Abstract:
An image printing system includes a portable data capturing device for capturing data relating to an image which it is desired to print. A processor communicates with the data capturing device for processing output data which is output from the data capturing device to provide formatted data suitable for printing. An onboard printing unit is mounted onboard a vehicle and is associated with the processor for printing the formatted data to provide the image.
Abstract:
A mobile phone includes an elongate body defining entry and exit slots between which print media can be fed. A camera device is mounted to the body and is configured to capture an image. A printer assembly is contained within the body and includes an elongate printhead assembly which extends transversely with respect to a print media path extending along the body. The printhead assembly is configured to print the captured image upon the print media. A feed mechanism is located within the body and is configured to feed the print media along the path during printing of the captured image and through the exit slot.
Abstract:
Provided is a computer gaming system having a housing, a disk drive module inside the housing for receiving a gaming disk, and an integrated printer module inside the housing for printing business-card sized media. The printer includes a print cartridge for supplying print media and ink. The gaming console also includes a controller for controlling the disk drive module and the printer module. The controller includes an interface for providing video, audio and control input interfaces via which the controller is able to deliver visual and auditory outputs and receive input from a user.
Abstract:
A visual communication system that is suitable for use in connection with a display surface is disclosed. The system includes a camera or other data-capturing device that can be remotely positioned from the display surface. A control unit receives image data from the camera or data-capturing device and processes the image data to create an electronic image of the display surface.
