Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a generating unit that generates, on image data that are obtained by scanning a document of a plurality of pages, multi-page format data in a single file, single-page format data in a page-by-page file, and association information that associates the multi-page format data with the single-page format data, and a transfer unit that transfers the multi-page format data, the single-page format data, and the association information to a server via a communication line in response to a transfer request of the image data.
Abstract:
It enables even by an image forming apparatus which does not have a function to recognize an image other than a leading image included in a multi-image file to print the image other than the leading image. To do so, there is provided a control method which comprises: outputting the image included in the multi-image file of a format in which the leading image can be processed by an image processing apparatus which does not deal with the multi-image file but an image other than the leading image cannot be processed by the image processing apparatus which does not deal with the multi-image file; and replacing, in a case where an output instruction to output, among the plural images included in the multi-image file, the image other than the leading image has been accepted, the image to which the output instruction has been accepted with the leading image.
Abstract:
A print medium configured to be printed on by a pagewidth printhead in a print direction. The print medium includes: a laminar substrate defining first and second opposite faces; a data track containing first information encoded in accordance with a linear encoding scheme, the data track extending in a linear read direction across a portion of the first face of the print medium, the read direction being oriented at between 45 and 135 degrees with respect to the print direction; and a plurality of contiguous tags tiled across the laminar substrate. Each of the tags identifies second information and a two-dimensional coordinate position on the laminar substrate. Each of the tags is encoded in accordance with a second encoding scheme distinct from the linear encoding scheme. The information is indicative of the second information.
Abstract:
A method of controlling audio playback using a handheld display device having a touch-sensitive screen and a transceiver for sending and receiving digital information. The method comprises the steps of: imaging an area of a printed substrate and generating image data using an optical sensor, the printed substrate containing printed content associated with audio; determining interaction data using the image data, the interaction data identifying a substrate identity; retrieving audio data associated with said printed content; displaying, on the touch-sensitive screen, display information identifying the audio together with a static element for controlling audio playback; and controlling audio playback by interacting with the static element via the touch-sensitive screen.
Abstract:
A link information generation apparatus records a link information file on a recording medium on which a first folder holding a still picture file that includes still picture data and still picture imaging time information and a second folder holding one or more moving picture files each of which includes moving picture data are recorded at positions that are not in a containment relationship with each other. The link information generation apparatus includes: a moving picture specification unit (1131) that specifies a still-picture-linked moving picture imaged during a time period including a time shown by the still picture imaging time information of the still picture data; a position information obtainment unit (1132) that obtains still-picture-corresponding position information showing a position in the still-picture-linked moving picture corresponding to the still picture imaging time information; and a link information generation unit (1133) that generates link information including still picture identification information for identifying the still picture data, moving picture identification information for identifying the still-picture-linked moving picture, and the still-picture-corresponding position information, and records the link information file including the link information on the recording medium at a position not contained in any of the first and second folders.
Abstract:
A region having coded data thereon, a method of applying the coded data to the region and a system having a computer system and sensing device for interacting with the region are provided. At least some of the coded data has data indicative of a functional attribute of a part of the region and the coded data has a plurality of substantially undifferentiated marks positioned relative to a set of predetermined nominal mark positions. Each mark has a minimum radius and a maximum radius, where the length of a mark's minimum radius is greater than 40% of the length of that mark's maximum radius.
Abstract:
A digital camera system for capturing and reviewing a group of related digital still images, comprising: an image sensor for capturing a digital image; a user interface including one or more user interface elements; a storage memory; and a program memory storing instructions configured to cause a data processing system to implement a method for capturing and reviewing a group of related digital still images. The instructions include: capturing and storing a group of related digital still images of the scene at a sequence of image capture times; providing a user interface for enabling a user interface to select a stored group of related digital still images for review; providing a user interface for enabling the user to delete a subset of the digital still images.
Abstract:
Digital camera is provided with face detection section that detects faces of a plurality of photographing objects, microcomputer performs continuous shooting in optimum photographing conditions in accordance with the number of faces of the photographing objects for each face of the plurality of photographing objects by a single shutter operation and performs control by assigning serial photographing object numbers to the images of the plurality of photographing objects taken by continuous shooting and recording the images in a single continuous-shooting image folder. Furthermore, microcomputer performs continuous shooting in predetermined order in accordance with the number of faces of the photographing objects and detects, when the photographing object speed is equal to or higher than a predetermined value, the photographing object speed again after photographing other photographing objects.
Abstract:
A method of generating a sequence of a plurality of images to be displayed with ambient lighting, the method comprising the steps of: extracting 201 at least one feature of each of a plurality of images; selecting 203 ambient lighting to be displayed with each of said plurality of images on the basis of said extracted at least one feature; determining 205, 207, 209, 211, 213 an order for display of said plurality of images on the basis of said selected ambient lighting to provide a smooth transition in changes in said ambient lighting during display of said plurality of images according to said order.
Abstract:
Provided is an image output method of outputting predetermined image data from plural pieces of image data, the method including: acquiring a group including plural pieces of image data which are similar to each other; detecting a face turning angle with respect to a face image plane included in an image indicated by each image data belonging to the same group and a face rotation angle indicating a rotation angle in the face image plane; and outputting image data, in which the face turning angle and the face rotation angle are smaller than those of other image data, among the image data belonging to the same group.
