    摘要: A ringing tone signal detecting circuit detects a ringing tone signal from a received signal of the echo canceler type which is supplied from a subscriber line through a hybrid circuit. The ringing tone signal detecting circuit has a sampler for sampling the received signal at a predetermined sampling frequency, a comparator for comparing an output signal from the sampler with a predetermined threshold value and producing a binary digital signal, a plurality of first through nth delay circuits for delaying the binary digital signal from the comparator for 1 through n sampling times, respectively, and a frequency detector for detecting a ringing tone signal from the binary digital signal from the comparator and output signals from the first through nth delay circuits. The circuit has particular use in detecting the ringing tone signals in the 2B1Q signaling code scheme.

    摘要: A digital FSK trunk dialing converter including M and E lead control is disclosed. The dialing converter further includes an FSK detector which is responsive to consecutive half period intervals of a received FSK signal, and a digital signal-to-noise (S/N) detector or estimator which operates to inhibit or keep the E-wire signal lead deactivated in the presence of noise signals which are received from the communications link in absence of acceptable FSK signals. The FSK detector is comprised of two digital circuits which generate pulses indicative of whether the received FSK signal is greater or less than the FSK center frequency. The pulses are integrated and used to trigger a flip-flop which provides a demodulated digital FSK output indicative of a received high or low FSK analog frequency. An E-wire control signal is generated in the receive logic circuitry in response to the demodulated FSK output. The S/N detector comprises a digital circuit coupled to the FSK detector and is responsive to the pulses generated thereby to generate reset signals which are coupled to logic circuitry when noise signals are received to prevent the generation of an E-wire signal when noise is present.

    摘要: A solid state pulsing circuit and an adapter connector for pulsing the counting and register advance terminals of the L-(line) relay of an originating register in accordance with the digit nature of received DTMF signals is disclosed. The pulsing circuit includes a pair of solid state switches adapted to be alternatively actuated and the adapter connector connects the pulsing circuit to the counting and register advance terminals of the line relay without affecting the normal operation of the relay. Complementary MAKE and BREAK signals derived from the serial pulse output of a DTMF receiver operate the solid state pulsing circuit such that the pulsing circuit alternately pulses (opens and grounds) the counting and register advance terminals of the line relay in accordance with the production of pulses by the DTMF receiver. Other relay terminals (i.e., the terminals controlling the slow release supervisory relay adapted to detect the ON HOOK state of a subscriber's telephone) are not pulsed, whereby annoying line clicks are avoided.

    摘要: A relaxation oscillator is formed by a Schmitt trigger circuit and an operational integrator circuit interconnected to form an oscillatory feedback loop. A diode switching network is constructed to receive a plural-bit digital input signal and to modify a circuit parameter in the oscillator feedback loop to adjust the frequency of oscillation in accordance with the coding of the digital input signal. An active low-pass filter circuit is connected to the output of the operational integrator circuit and supplies a sinusoidal tone signal to an output circuit. A switching circuit is responsive to the digital input signal for disabling the output circuit except during the occurrence of predetermined digital code values.

    摘要: A telephone inband signalling system converts first and second DC signal levels by detecting a change in either direction between the signals to produce a voltage of predetermined time duration which exceeds the time between dial pulses. This latter voltage is employed to simultaneously (a) short the voice path, thereby preventing feedback to the calling party, and (b) enhance the tone of a 2600 hz. oscillator. The oscillator is then onoffed in response to the dial pulses coming over the input. At the end of the conversation, a muted 2600 hz. tone is continuously transmitted indicating an idle line.
