    摘要: An impulse convertor for converting a received telephone impulse dialing signal into a restored dialing signal has a limiter-amplifier, a signal detector, an output formatter, and a controller. The limiter-amplifier receives the impulse dialing signal from an interface b to a communication system such as a public switched telephone network or a cellular network, limits the amplitude range of the received impulse dialing signal, and compensates for attenuation of the received impulse dialing signal. The signal detector analyzes successive portions of an output signal generated by the limiter-amplifier and determines dialed digits represented by the received impulse dialing signal. The output formatter converts the dialed digits determined by the signal detector into the restored dialing signal that is provided to a device C such as a PABX. The controller coordinates operation of the limiter-amplifier, signal detector, and output formatter.

    摘要: Real-time conversion between two different A/B signal coding schemes based on the DS1 time division multiplex format is achieved by time sharing a programmable state machine. The time sharing is accomplished synchronously with the DS1 superframe such that each of the 24 DS1 channels have signalling translated once every superframe. Programmability of the state machine is facilitated by the use of an EPROM. A RAM is used for real-time storage of signal states, machine states and processor provisioning for each channel, thereby facilitating time sharing of the state machines. Flexibility is provided through the unique use of an EPROM, which can be modified to directly change the signalling translation response depending on the type of telephony service being provided and the coding scheme used for the signalling. Processor provisioning of the RAM selects a service type translation for each of the 24 DS1 channels.

    摘要: A signal transmission control apparatus connected between a telephone line and a terminal device controls signal transmission therebetween in no-ringing service. First DC and AC circuits of the apparatus become conductive in response to a DC control voltage from the telephone line. The first DC and AC circuits are connected to the telephone lines and the leads of a primary coil of the transformer of the apparatus. The secondary coil of the transformer is connected to the terminal device and an amplifier and first detection device of the apparatus. A subsequent AC calling signal from the telephone line, received on the first AC circuit, effects conduction in second DC and AC circuits through serial operation of the first detection circuit, a control circuit, a switching transistor and closure of relay contacts. The second DC and AC circuits are of lower resistance and impedance, respectively, than the first DC and AC circuits, respectively to indicate operation of the apparatus to the telephone line and minimially to affect signal transmission of AC information through the transformer primary and secondary coils.

    摘要: A circuit is disclosed for providing automatic ground start signals for a private branch exchange (PBX) telephone station equipped for automatic cut-through to a central office trunk in the event of a local power failure. The circuit comprises circuitry for generating a time interval in response to a detection of an off-hook condition of the station and apparatus activated upon the expiration of the time interval for applying a ground signal to the tip conductor of the trunk for initiating central office dial tone switching operations. Thereafter, the circuit senses a momentary open condition of the trunk caused by central office dial tone switching operations and responds by electrically isolating itself from the trunk so as not to interfere with subsequent call operations.
