    摘要： A ball bearing for rectilinear sliding, in which balls can be easily placed. The ball bearing includes a slide guide member which is slidably fitted onto a raceway track base and which has a slide member. A ball retaining material retains one side portion of the balls placed in load ball grooves of an inner surface of the slide member, and ball retaining flexible materials are provided on the inner surface of the wing portions of the slide member while another side portion of the balls is being retained. Thus, the balls placed in the load ball grooves are retained by the ball retaining material and the ball retaining flexible materials.

    摘要： A bearing body of substantially U-shaped cross section has right and left skirts interposing therebetween a central cavity formed in its central lower part as well as opposite recesses formed in the inner peripheral side surfaces of the skirts. The bearing body further has several axial ball rolling surfaces provided on both sides of the recesses. The ball rolling surfaces are simultaneously ground in such a manner that grinding wheels having a thickness equal to the width of the recesses are brought into contact with the recesses, respectively, with a predetermined infeed angle. Also disclosed is a limited sliding bearing unit incorporating therein the above-mentioned simultaneously ground type bearing body. The bearing unit further includes a track shaft and a pair of cages.

    摘要： A ball bearing adapted for axial movement on a shaft is comprised of a cage having guideways defining endless paths having axially extending portions for loaded and unloaded balls, and semicircular end portions. An outer sleeve surrounds the central portion of the bearing and defines races for balls in the endless paths. End rings on the axial ends of the bearing radially outwardly cover the semicircular guideway portions. The semicircular guideway portions have outwardly convex bottoms, and the end rings have concave recesses in their inner surfaces aligned with the semicircular guideways. The convex portions of the guideways and the concave portions of the recesses have common centers of curvature extending parallel to the bearing axis and displaced outwardly therefrom.

    摘要： A slip joint including telescoped inner and outer members having substantially unstressed plastic material interposed therebetween. The joint is made by first telescoping inner and outer members with the plastic material interposed therebetween. The outer member is then deformed inwardly to place the plastic material under considerable compressive stress. The deformed area is then heated for expanding the plastic material and relieving the compressive stress by plastic movement of the plastic material. The plastic material is then cooled and minimal sliding clearance is provided between the inner member and the plastic material. The outer member is thus deformed inwardly in at least one localized area and the plastic material has a thickness beneath the deformed area which is substantially less than the thickness thereof beyond the deformed area.

    摘要： The energy-absorbing device comprises telescoped inner and outer members between which hard balls are confined. Its inner member is a tube with a circumferentially undulating wall that defines circumferentially alternating inwardly and outwardly opening bays and is therefore radially elastically deformable. Balls are received at longitudinally spaced intervals in the radially outwardly opening bays. The outer member has a spherical inwardly opening socket for each ball to hold the ball against displacement relative to the outer member. When either member moves lengthwise relative to the other, the balls locally elastically deform the inner member, thus dissipating energy.
