A process separates components in the process stream by applying non-condensable media to create density differences and then using a mechanical device to separate the solids from the liquids based on the density difference. The process produces the liquids and solids, which may be further processed to create valuable animal feed products.

摘要: A method of preparing a protein concentrate and protein concentrate compositions are described. The method relates to combining an aqueous process stream from a grain milling process with an oil seed material to form a slurry, steeping the slurry, and isolating a protein concentrate from the slurry. In one embodiment, the aqueous process stream comprises a soluble protein. In some embodiments, the method includes additional steps such as enzymatic treatment, washing of the isolated protein concentrate, and drying the protein concentrate.

摘要: The invention provides a method for treating root- or tuber juice, comprising a) a pretreatment of the root- or tuber juice to remove root- or tuber lipids to a level below 28 g/kg dry weight; b) cooling the root- or tuber juice to a temperature of −0.3° C. to −16° C. to form ice crystals; and c) separating the ice crystals from the root- or tuber juice to obtain, as a first root- or tuber juice product, a concentrated root- or tuber juice. In addition, the invention provides methods to obtain protein depleted root- or tuber juice products, as well as products comprising root- or tuber free amino acids, and uses thereof.

摘要: The disclosure provides a method for extracting antibacterial peptides and albumin from pea whey wastewater, which includes following steps: in extracting the albumin, centrifuging with the pea whey wastewater generated during pea protein processing as raw material; controlling temperature and exchanging heat to adjust temperature of the raw material; sequentially performing a microfiltrating, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and secondary nanofiltration to obtain an albumin slurry; performing a multi-effect concentration on the albumin slurry; adding an alkaline substances to adjust pH; sterilizing and drying to finally obtain the albumin, which realizes a targeted extraction of the albumin with small molecular weight in the pea whey wastewater and avoids resource waste. The albumin with small molecular weight and the antibacterial peptides in the pea whey water are effectively recycled, thus avoiding environmental pollution caused by improper treatment of the pea whey water and realizing resource reuse.

摘要: The invention is directed to a method of forming a gel, to a gel obtainable by said method, to a heat treated native potato protease inhibitor, to the use of said protease inhibitor, and to a foodstuff comprising said gel or said protease inhibitor. The method includes: providing a solution of native potato protease inhibitor isolate having an isoelectric point of more than 6.0 and a molecular weight of less than 35 kDa; subjecting the native potato protease inhibitor solution to a heat treatment to a temperature of 65-121° C. for at least 10 minutes, or an UHT treatment at temperatures above 121° C., at an ionic strength of less than 60 mM and a pH of less than 4.5 yielding a heat treated native potato protease inhibitor solution; and setting the ionic strength of the native potato protease inhibitor solution to more than 60 mM.

摘要: There is disclosed a stable animal feed supplement suspension which is prepared by forming a stable liquid gel in concentrated food industry by-products such as by-products of the dairy industry, such as whey permeates, delactosed whey, and by-products of the fermentation industry, such as whey and corn sweet water. These by-products have not been used with any significant success in animal feed supplements, despite their low cost and disposal problems. A major disadvantage is their limited solubility, and the resultant instability of concentrates of the by-products. The invention comprises the treatment of the protein-rich by-products with a mild enzymatic treatment which stabilizes the by-products against protein gelation, and the thermal, and/or enzymatic treatment of the lactose-rich by-products to avoid separation of the lactose from concentrates. The by-products can then be concentrated to high solids content, in excess of 50 weight percent, and the resultant concentrates can be treated with gelation agents, preferably phosphoric acid and lime to form stable liquid gels, to which feed nutrients such as fats, urea, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, etc., or drugs such as monisan, can be added, forming a stable liquid suspension which is useful as an animal feed supplement.

摘要: A process of producing an amylase inhibitor from an amylase inhibitor-containing solution extracted from wheat flour, etc with water, a dilute acid, a dilute alkali or from an amylase inhibitor-containing starch waste solution, by utilization of an adsorption of the amylase inhibitor on a calcium phosphate gel, while removing impure proteins contained in the solution. The process can produce in economy and high yields the amylase inhibitor having a very high amylase inhibitory activity but no or very little trypsin inhibitory activity.
