摘要： The invention is directed to overprinting a poly(vinyl chloride) resin substrate whose surface, or portion thereof, is colored by solvent soluble dye or by way of a mass solvent soluble dye, with a coloring agent made up of a liquid halogenated hydrocarbon solvent having 1-4 carbon atoms, pigment dispersed in said halohydrocarbon solvent, and a film former, dissolved in said halohydrocarbon solvent, consisting essentially of (a) acrylic resin or (b) a combination of acrylic resin and chlorinated polyolefin, at least 50% by weight of acrylic resin; and heat treating said overprinted substrate to adhere said film former and associated pigment.

摘要： A process for producing modified polyester products by the graft polymerization of vinyl monomers having an acidic group and replacing the acidic group with an alkali metal salt, the replacing being carried out after dyeing. By this process, decrease in strength and color fastness of polyester fibers can be avoided while giving the polyesters characteristics similar to those of cotton.

摘要： The present invention concerns our discovery that decorative sheets and coverings comprising polyvinyl chloride and having substantially non-migratable through-color images may be prepared using cationic dyestuffs. These coverings may be prepared by providing a variety of polyvinyl chloride-containing substrates with image compositions comprising cationic dyestuffs and a suitable binder, and then treating these materials such that the cationic dyestuffs migrate into the substrate. Through-color images are obtained which are substantially non-migrating, even under severe conditions.

摘要： Amazingly beautiful decorative objects can be made by a method comprising the steps of (1) producing a chemically pure, over-saturated solution of potassium aluminosilicate, (2) coating substrates to be decorated with flock, (3) introducing the substrates into the solution, (4) removing the substrates from the solution after crystals have grown on the substrates, (5) drying the crystals, (6) coating the crystals with a transparent brilliant liquid plastic, and, optionally, (7) dyeing the plastic, either before or after it has dried. Alternatively, dye may be introduced directly into the solution.
