摘要： A flexible belt, made of an elastomeric material, comprising an annular body, delimited by two base surfaces and by two lateral sides; at least one of the base surfaces disposed with a predetermined winding arc around a pulley from which it receives or, to which it transmits, motion by friction. The sides of the annular body are inactive for transmitting the forces by friction. The belt that is for example, flat, is extensible, and it comprises at least one group of three layers in direct contact with one another, each layer of which includes or comprises reinforcing fibers disposed in a single predetermined direction. In the reinforcing structure no inextensible cords are present. The belt may comprise an annular element on at least one of the base surfaces of the annular body, for opposing any lateral shifting relative to the transmission pulley.

摘要： An endless elastomeric or rubber drive belt includes a body having a mid-circumferential plane and first, second and third ply portions of reinforcement therein. The first ply portion has first cable means oriented substantially parallel to the mid-circumferential plane for carrying tensile loads and defining a second plane contiguous therewith. The second ply portion has second cable means arranged on a positive bias angle and the third ply portion has third cable means arranged on a negative bias angle to the mid-circumferential plane. The second and third ply portions are juxtaposed and constructed differently so as to substantially neutralize the shear stresses in each generated from tensile loading while bending by apportioning their strain levels in approximate proportion to their distances from the second plane.

摘要： A power transmission belt manufacture wherein a modified rubber blend is utilized as at least one portion of the belt, with the blend including a silane coupling agent, silica and carbon black. The blend is advantageously adapted for use as the cushion rubber embedding the load-carrying cords of the belt. The invention comprehends the use of the blend further as at least one of the compression and tension sections of the belt, as desired. The modified rubber blend is advantageously utilized in power transmission belts having widely varying configurations and characteristics.

摘要： A rubber composition capable of giving a non-tacky vulcanized rubber can be obtained by mixing 98 to 80% by weight of at least one organic rubber selected from natural rubber and organic synthetic rubbers and 2 to 20% by weight of a silicone raw rubber having a molecular weight of 100,000 to 1,000,000. A conveyor belt in which at least the surface layer is composed of a vulcanizate of this rubber composition is suitable for carrying highly tacky substances such as oil sand.

This tape has a fixed profile on both of its large area surfaces and includes reinforcement ribs arranged with their components extending predominantly in the longitudinal direction of the tape. Binding layers are composed of an elastic material with a modulus of elasticity of 800 to 1,000 kp/cm.sup.2 and interlock with the profile on both sides of the tape. Each of the binding layers may be covered with a synthetic fabric. Each of the two binding layers with each of the two synthetic fabrics may be covered with a cover plate of elastomers or thermoplastics.

摘要： A method of forming an annular rubber V-belt comprising the wrapping of a layer of vulcanizable rubber about a mandrel, winding a length of cord about the layer, wrapping a second layer of vulcanizable material over the wound cord, cutting the thus formed member into individual belt members, and curing the belt members. The cord is composed of a twisted together plurality of yarns; the yarns being composed of a twisted together plurality of strands; the strands being composed of a plurality of individual filaments of glass and the twist present in the yarns and strands being opposite. Preferably, the yarn assembly features one-half, 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 twists per inch.
