Abstract:
This invention relates to a filament for electron emission cathode which is employed in an electron microscope, a critical dimension examine tool, an electron beam lithograph machine, an electron beam tester and other electron beam related systems as an electron source. Embodiments of the present invention discloses method with which a Re (Rhenium) is used as heat source such that vibration issue of prior tungsten filament can be depressed.
Abstract:
A thermal field emission cathode which is employed in an electron microscope, a critical dimension examine tool, an electron beam lithograph machine, an electron beam tester and other electron beam related systems as an electron source is disclosed. Embodiments disclose changing coating shape, coating position and shorten emitter length to extend the lifetime of the field emission cathode.
Abstract:
Disclosed are cathode units for use in fluorescent discharge lamps which include a stem element adapted for sealing engagement with an end of an elongated vitreous/glass tube, first and second electrode support wires extending axially through the stem element, and a filament electrode which is oriented substantially axially with respect to the support wires. The support wires each have a inwardly-directed tip portion and the filament electrode is attached thereto. The ends of the filament electrode are attached to the support wires by welding. In alternative embodiments, the disclosed cathode unit can further include an electrode shield assembly.
Abstract:
To obtain a fluorescent display tube which allows the cathode to be driven by a DC current from a battery even when the overall length of the tube becomes large. This object can be achieved by: placing anchors 11A and 11B on both ends of the cathode 10; placing a support on the middle point between the anchors 11A and 11B, to which part of the cathode 10 has been fixed; and adjusting the lengths between the support and the anchors 11A and 11B to be 100 mm or less, and then adding DC power sources 13A and 13B which pass DC currents negative with respect to the support, and positive with respect to the anchors 11A and 11B between the support 12 and the anchors 11A and 11B.
Abstract:
An electrically resistive heater consisting of a helix of resistive wire, the helix being shaped into a toroid or a spiral, with the electrical return lead extending coaxially through the helix so as to provide a magnetic field of equal magnitude and opposite sense to that produced by current in the helix to cancel the magnetic fields.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic tube with cylindrical electrodes. In tubes of this kind, where the cathode generally consisting of a wire mesh 1, the space located within same is tightly coupled with the other inter-electrode spaces of the tube. The invention, in order to avert parasitic resonances at the harmonics closest to the operating frequency, which can occur in said space in operation, provides for the arrangement in said space of a certain number of metal sleeves 8, 9 and 10 coaxial with the electrodes, constituting low-inductance coaxial line sections.Application to high-power, short-wave (20 MHz) triodes for transmitting applications.
Abstract:
A non-coplanar miniature vacuum tube triode, having its elements all formed by photo-resist techniques, and all secured to a common substrate, the cathode being formed directly in contact with the substrate over its surface, and the grid and anode being formed as crossovers, one for the cathode and the other for both cathode and grid, in parallel planes, leaving free space between each pair of the electrodes, and inherently providing intertube isolation and high gain per tube.
Abstract:
A mesh cathode comprising a tubular mesh grid formed of electron-emitting wires; the tubular grid having one end portion thereof fastened to an annular heating current supply terminal and having the other end portion thereof attached to a cap which is supported on a rod disposed coaxially of the tubular grid. The rod and the cap cooperate to form a second heating current supply terminal. The cap comprises a plurality of laminar members each having a plurality of arms extending radially outwardly from a centrally disposed hub having an aperture therethrough for fittingly engaging the supporting rod. The laminar members are arranged with the arms in a staggered pattern relative to each other.
