Abstract:
An adapter socket seat, which is used for connecting with a client line carrying voice signals distributed from a server, and especially with a line for carrying Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) signals, is disclosed in the invention. The signal splitter of the invention comprises a signal filter for preventing the Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) signals from being disturbed by the noises of the telephone. The adapter socket further comprises a plug for a direct link with a standard socket of a client line designed for carrying voice signals. Therefore, the invention does not require extra connection wires and it prevents the inconvenience caused by the need to put wires together. The invention is thus suitable for quick installment and removal.
Abstract:
A multi-purpose modular connector includes a female housing having an open end and at least two interior surfaces. A first contact terminal configuration is positioned along one of the two interior surfaces and a second contact configuration is positioned along another of the interior surfaces. A male plug having a first plurality of wires and a second plurality of wires is configured to be inserted in the open end of the female housing. When the male plug is inserted into the female housing, at least one first contact terminal contacts a corresponding one of the first plurality of wires and at least one second contact terminal contacts a corresponding one of the second plurality of wires.
Abstract:
A jack module with integrated modem interface circuits including a jack housing for receiving a plug; a plurality of contacts in the housing for engaging contacts on a plug; a plurality of terminals on the housing for interconnecting with a mounting member and a line side circuit in the jack housing and interconnecting with the contacts.
Abstract:
A computer card assembly for removeable insertion into a receiving/expansion slot of a host computer is presented. The computer card assembly facilitates the removal and recombination of at least one electronic card in an electronic card interface tray that includes a shared interface. An electronic card interface tray includes an external shared interface that can facilitate larger jacks and opposing sidewalls which together form bays or slots within the computer card assembly. The electronic card is sized to be received within a bay of the card tray to facilitate insertion of the computer card assembly into the host expansion slot. The electronic card supports the standard host interface while sharing and external interface, such as a network interface, with other cards within the computer card assembly.
Abstract:
A power plug device has a power plug, at least one switched power socket at least one socket switch, a embedded controller and a telephone jack. The embedded controller can send and receive network signals across a telephone line through the telephone jack, or across a power line through the power plug of the power plug device. The power plug device may switch on or off its power sockets depending on networking signals that come from the power or telephone lines. The power plug device can also send networking signals out along the telephone or power line. The power plug device also has a networking communications port. Two such power plug devices enable two or more computers to communicate with each other using the existing power and telephone lines within a building.
Abstract:
A network data transmission cable connector is constructed to include a connector plug, a plastic conductor holder block and a metal shield respectively mounted in the connector plug and adapted to guide the electrically insulated conductors of the twisted pairs of a cable into contact with respective metal terminals in the connector plug, the metal shield having a corrugated configuration adapted to separate the twisted pairs of the cable, for enabling the first, second and third twisted pairs of the cable to be separately supported above the metal shield and the two electrically insulated conductors of the fourth twisted pair of the cable to be separately supported below the metal shield.
Abstract:
A system and method are disclosed for maintaining the state of a virtual connection supported by an active connection manager on a standby connection manager. The method includes configuring the standby connection manager to include a physical machine object that stores a physical IP address of a physical machine that is available to the active connection manager and a virtual machine object that stores a virtual IP address of a virtual machine that is implemented on the connection manager. A replication packet is received at the standby connection manager from the active connection manager wherein the replication packet includes a foreign IP address, the virtual IP address and the physical IP address. A standby connection object is stored in the connection manager. The standby connection object includes the foreign IP address, the virtual IP address and the physical IP address from the replication packet on the standby connection manager.
Abstract:
A shielded telecommunications connector comprising a conductive core having core side walls and a horizontal shield joined to and perpendicular to the side walls. At least one contact carrier contains a contact, the contact having an insulation displacement contact for making electrical connection with a wire, the contact carrier being positioned on the horizontal shield between the side walls. At least one termination cap receives the wire and the insulation displacement contact, the termination cap positioning the wire relative to the insulation displacement contact. Each of the sidewalls has a sidewall ledge and the termination cap includes two first lips positioned beneath the sidewall ledges. The horizontal shield extends beyond a length of the termination cap.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and method for distributing connections among a plurality of servers at an Internet site. All connections are made to a single IP address and a local director selects the server from among the plurality of servers which is to receive the connection. Thus, the DNS server is not relied upon to distribute connections, and the connection distribution scheme is not avoided when DNS is bypassed. In one embodiment, a session distribution scheme is implemented such that connections are distributed to the server in the group of servers which has the fewest connections of the group. In other embodiments, other session distribution schemes which route connections based on the predicted response times of the servers or according to a round robin scheme are used.
Abstract:
A distribution device (1) for distributed wiring is constructed with multiple modules (3) that have, respective disconnect hinges (14) mounted disconnectedly to a first rail (4) on a distribution backbone (2), and quick disconnect fasteners (11) disconnectedly secured to a corresponding other rail (4) on the distribution backbone (2).
